Obad 1:15-17; “For the day of the Lord draws near on all the nations.
As you have done, it will be done to you.
Your dealings will return on your own head. “Because just as you drank on My holy mountain,
All the nations will drink continually.
They will drink and swallow
And become as if they had never existed. “But on Mount Zion there will be those who escape,
And it will be holy.

Obadiah's vision of the 'Day of the Lord", says that many of the nations will "become as if they never existed".
But he also says... "there will be those who escape".

In Revelation 3, we see the letter to the church in Philadelphia. one of the two churches that God didn't
hold anything against.

Rev 3:7-13; “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:
He who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens, says this:
‘I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Behold, I will cause those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—I will make them come and bow down at your feet, and make them know that I have loved you. Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one will take your crown. He who overcomes , I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will not go out from it anymore; and I will write on him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’

There is a lot to unpack in this passage.
Who do you suppose the is "He who is Holy"? Why does He have "the key of David", and what is it?
He has the ability to open a door which no one can shut. "because you have a little power, and have kept my word, and have not denied my name".

God has the ability to open and close doors. There are places we can go, and places we cannot. There
are things we are allowed to do, and things we are not. But there are some doors.. when God opens
them... no one can close them. ... much more could be said about that.

Then there are those who says they are Jews... but "are not". This is interpreted many different ways,
and a lot could be said about this also.

But what I notice here is those "who have kept my word", and then it says "you have kept the word
of my perseverance"...

As a result of this... I will also keep you from the hour of testing (in which the whole world will be tested).
We are also warned so that "no one can take your crown".

It seems God will allow some to escape His wrath... is testing of the world.

1 Thes 5:1-11; Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober. For those who sleep do their sleeping at night, and those who get drunk get drunk at night. But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him. Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.

Again we see the "Day of the Lord" here. It seems many people will be saying everything is fine.
Everything is peaceful and safe. But then destruction will fall upon these people... it says these
people "will not escape".
But then we also see those who "are not of darkness"... it says these people are not destined for wrath.

It seems some will escape the time of testing. The time of wrath.

In Matt 24:42-51; We see another warning about "The Day of the Lord".

Matt 24:42-51; “Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.
“Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes. Truly I say to you that he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But if that evil slave says in his heart, ‘My master is not coming for a long time,’ and begins to beat his fellow slaves and eat and drink with drunkards; the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour which he does not know, and will cut him in pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

It seems that the Master has some servants that are faithful in His house. ... but also... perhaps some who are
not so faithful. Have you ever stopped to consider what "faithful" means in this context?
This is much like a faithful wife or husband... or perhaps an "unfaithful" wife or husband.
They started off faithfully. But they didn't remain "faithful". This person is called an "evil servant".
They will no longer be in the masters house... but assigned "a place with the hypocrites".

Also have you stopped to consider... what is this "food" that should be given at the proper time?

... to be continued ...

Those who are left behind....

Matt 24:36-41; “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left.

Again... it seems some will escape.
Just like with Noah... many were caught in the flood. But some... were saved in the ark.
There will two men in a field... one will be taken... but the other....
There will be two women at a mill ... one will be taken... but the other....

It seems some will escape. Some will not.

Luke 17:28-36; It was the same as happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building; but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed. On that day, the one who is on the housetop and whose goods are in the house must not go down to take them out; and likewise the one who is in the field must not turn back. Remember Lot’s wife. Whoever seeks to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. I tell you, on that night there will be two in one bed; one will be taken and the other will be left. There will be two women grinding at the same place; one will be taken and the other will be left. [Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other will be left.”]

Just like with Sodom and Gomorrah.... many will be caught in the wrath of the Lord... but some will escape.
Many of us start out in the place of sin.... (Sodom and Gomorrah) and we even know the warning signs.
Lot knew, and his wife also knew. But Lot's wife hesitated, she thought about turning back. Sometimes
the past has a hold on us.

Two will be in a bed... one will be taken.

But some will escape....

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience , I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

St John 17: 11-17. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
V12. While I was with them in the world, l kept them in thy name, those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be ful- filled.
V13. And now I come to thee, and these things I speak in the world that they might have my joy ful-filled in themselves.
V14. I have given them thy word, and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
V15. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

It don't sound like to me Revelation 3:10 , is a escape
To be kept from the hour of temptation, could only mean no matter how bad things get we will not be tempted to give , because it is Christ in us who will keep us , but the world doesn't have Christ in them so they will give into temptation.
See its just like Peter , without the Holy Ghost he denied Jesus three times , but after receiving the Holy Ghost he was kept, and would not could not denie the Lord, not by his strength , but by Christ in him.

So when the man of sin comes so many will be tempted to take his mark, and will take it, but we see in scripture there is those who will not ,take his mark or worship him, even unto
death
Now do you think is by their on strength, they keep their
self, since according to what most say the Holy Spirit will be gone, I say no its not in man , but this power is Christ in us.

But the tribulation or great tribulation ever which one ,most want call it is not the wrath of God.

Revelation 6: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come , and who shall be able to stand?
Now that verse is a question, what is the answer?
Revelation 11: 18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to them that fear thy name, small and great, and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

So we see in this verse that its time for some things, like his wrath, the dead should be judge, (not final judgement ) and time to reward the prophets , saints , the ones who fear his name
and also destroy which destroy the earth
It would be hard not see this is when he comes back, it told many, times in scripture of his coming , and each time we read it it gives us more details about his coming, so when we read in a place that his angles gathers his elect, then we read in another place we gather to me him in the air , we want to say its two events ,
When we read in scripture the coming of the Lord, that's what it is THE coming not A coming, THE coming

It like if I said that Jesus was
A savior, scripture does not say he is A savior , but THE Savior , because he is the only one , so when scripture says THE coming of the Lord, that's what it is THE coming, not A coming

Hebrews 9: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many, and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation
Appear the second time,

Jesus warns , about his
coming that we should not let no one deceive us, why did he warn us, cause he when it got close to his return many would be deceived, thinking he would return before the tribulation , that why he made sure it was written , that he would come after tribulation he , nowhere did he say before tribulation, neither did Paul, he talks about THE coming of the Lord , and just gives more detail, it was never meant to be taken as another event, that's why he called it THE coming , being caught up is something that happens at THE coming, not something we should have changed the name to , Paul says at Jesus's coming we will be rapture, but it is still at THE coming of THE Lord
This I will do I begg please read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
and show me where Paul said this was at any time other than THE coming of the Lord.

Scripture interprets Scripture
