Dear fellow believers, Grace and Peace be unto you from God our Father who is blessed forevermore. Each of us has responded to the call of God and is in the process of seeking his will for us. Each of us has an understanding of the Gospel we have received, just like Matthew, Mark, Luke and John did. In his Gospel Luke stated:

1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, 2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; 3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, 4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

Just as Luke thought it necessary to write his own account of that which was believed so that Theophilus might understand, I too would like to encourage everyone here to share the Gospel that they received, which they preach unto others.

My hope is that this thread may serve to show the diversity of thoughts about the Gospel that are out there WITHOUT anyone commenting on anyone else's version of the Gospel. This is not meant to be a place for you to attack others beliefs but simply a place for us to share with one another the Good News that we have received and hope in. Please refrain your tongue if you disagree with another. If you must, send the poster a Private Message to declare any concerns you may have that they have been deceived and therefore go about deceiving others. If you don't wish to participate then by all means don't, but please don't detract from what this thread is meant to be with your words.

I myself will begin:

The Gospel According to Gary

In the beginning God begat a Son. He and his Son were both in the form of God. God the Father had all wisdom, understanding and knowledge and would raise his Son accordingly. The Father who was all wise made a plan to design a creation whose ultimate end would be one where his Son would become part of as the highest form of it and rule and reign over it. He would create all things to be 'very good' and stop short of 'perfect' for the purpose of refining the creation and inserting his beloved Son into it, to bring it under his rule.

God the Father set his plan into motion and created all things by the power of his word. And as he allowed for and knew would happen, Satan, by lust to become God, fell from his high place within creation and became the Father of Lies. Man, who is Gods creation that was created in his image, fell due to the lies of Satan. As a product of the fall when he ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, man gained the ability to decide for himself what he thought or deemed to be good or evil. His first declaration as his own god was that being naked was evil and he covered himself with fig leaves. God would come and show him his error and correct that which he had done wrong by introducing the proper way to cover sin through a blood sacrifice. He sent the man out of the garden of God clothed with the skin of the animal he sacrificed for him. God had also given the promise that he would send one to make things right.

Over the course of the next 1600 years or so, man multiplied on the earth. Some began to call upon the name of the Lord while others continued down their own paths, seeing themselves as god who decides for themselves. The world became so wicked before God that he chose to destroy it with a flood and show that man left to his own devices would destroy himself. Man could not live by conscience alone as his imagination is wicked from his youth. God saved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and brought him through the flood with a boat load of animals to preserve life upon the earth.

As part of his plan of redemption and purification of the creation, God interrupted mans plans to make his own way to heaven by twisting the tongues of those at the tower of Babel and causing them to be dispersed abroad into the world. God established the boundaries of the nations. God then selected Abraham to begin the next phase of his revelation of himself unto man. Through Abraham God would establish the covenant of circumcision which is the outward sign of righteousness imputed by faith because Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Abraham begat Isaac and Isaac begat Jacob. Jacob would become Israel, a nation of people under God, known as Gods chosen people.

Through Israel God would reveal his mighty hand of deliverance by delivering them from the captivity in Egypt by the hand of Moses who they originally rejected as their leader. He would establish his moral law in the form of the 10 Commandments at mount Sinai to bring the unrighteous Israel nation into bondage, showing them their wickedness. This would be followed by the Mosaic Law that would govern the nation of Israel through the years. Over time, the nation of Israel drifted farther and father from God. The began with God being their ruler through the mediator Moses and subsequently were given judges, then kings and finally in the end they had the Sanhedrin or 70 elders who judged them sitting in Moses seat. Israel had become so wayward that God had given them eyes of slumber that shouldn't see the time of their visitation of Emmanuel, God with them.

As the time of Israel was drawing to a close, God raised up John the Baptist in the spirit of Elijah to return the hearts of the sons to the fathers and the fathers to the sons, bringing about the baptism of repentance to Israel that they may be turned back to God the Father. He began to preach the Kingdom of God which was coming. To preach that the Son of David was coming to take his place as the eternal ruler of the people Israel. And deliver them from their sin and ungodliness. John completed his ministry by preforming the baptism of Jesus where the heavens opened up and the Holy Spirit was given unto Jesus. God the Father testifying of Jesus by a voice which came from heaven that he was in fact his son and that he was well pleased with him. It was at this point that Jesus received power and his ministry from his Father in heaven. He went about teaching and preaching only the things that his Father had revealed to him. He would eventually select 12 disciples to train up, one of which would betray him, so that they could continue to teach and preach the kingdom after his disease. Jesus had a ministry that lasted around 3 1/2 years that ended with his being rejected by the leaders of Israel as King and crucified instead. Since Jesus was the son of God who lead a life free from sin, death had no right to take him but was forced to due to the weakness of his fleshly body. God the Father was righteous and just in raising him from the dead and setting him over the entire creation as ruler over all, death having no more dominion over him.

It is important to understand that Jesus was in the form of God but left that estate to become part of the creation. He was once fully God but became fully man. His life here on earth was guided by God the Father through his sovereign rule from heaven. Although he was just a man, Jesus was still the person of the Son of God who possessed the moral code of God the Father. He had all the characteristics of God the Father in human form. He was the very image of the Father upon the earth. Just like you and I, Jesus needed to be saved from death as he could not save himself. He cried out to the one who was able to save him with strong crying and tears and was heard in that he feared. Upon his resurrection he no longer had an earthly body but was given a spiritual one. He gave his disciples instructions to spread the Gospel of the Kingdom until he returns to take possession and rule and reign a thousand years on earth. Then he ascended to be at the right hand of the Father in heaven waiting until all things be brought under his feet.

The good news is that you and I have been invited to join the Kingdom of Gods dear Son, bowing the knee to Jesus Christ as King. God the Father has poured out his Holy Spirit upon all flesh and those who will receive him are invited to be the temple of the living God here on earth as he walks in us. We must first experience the baptism of John and repent. We need to turn toward God and away from our sinful ways bringing forth fruit meet for repentance being baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Upon turning toward God, he has promised that if we come out of the world that he will come and dwell within us via his Holy Spirit and we are marked as his purchased possession to be retrieved at a later time. From this point on we rejoice and get busy hearing or reading the Word of God and becoming washed by the pure water of the word. We learn of Jesus and take his yoke upon us and are conformed to the image of Gods dear Son. We escape the corruption that is in the world through lust by the knowledge of the Son of God, never to return and wallow in the mud again. We grow in his Grace and Truth being taught by Pastors and Teachers who are to bring us up into the fullness of the maturity which is in Christ.

This whole process of being born again and growing up into Christ our head is the Christian walk. There is no condemnation for those who walk as he walked while he was yet among us and those who do can have boldness in the day of judgment. Jesus himself is our advocate with the Father should we fail and fall into sin. We are warned to be careful how we hear and receive the Word of God. If we reject what we hear we will be lead astray and end up in judgment, but if we by patient continuance in well doing follow after Jesus, we shall receive the crown of life and hear those wonderful words "Well done good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord".

May the Lord God have mercy upon you and deem you worthy to enter into the Kingdom of his Beloved Son Jesus. Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Christ to the glory of the Father.

In Jesus Name as an Ambassador of Christ,

I believe that the Gospel is according to God and as written through his word.
It is the teachings of Jesus and the apostles; the story of Christ's life and teachings, especially as contained in the first four books of the New Testament, namely Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

Paul sums up the gospel that saves and that he preached: the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
