The Full Gospel
As we shall see from God's Word, a gospel which focusses soley on justification, forgiveness of sins and repentance and going to Heaven is a watered down gospel and not the full gospel. Rom 8:30 clearly says that glorification is the last step in our salvation following justification. The goal of salvation is not only to be saved from our sins and go to heaven and escape hell. The goal of our predestination, calling and justification is our glorification.
What is Glory?
God's glory is God Himself with all His attributes of love, light and love (Acts 7:2, 2 Cor 3:18). God's glory and His Person cannot be separated. If we see God, we see God's glory because God's glory is who He is.
The Gospel of Glory
The full Gospel is the Gospel of Glory - 2 Cor 4:4-6, Heb 2:10, 1 Cor 2:7, Rom 9:23. A gospel which says we can have our sins forgiven is good news, but to be glorified is even greater news (1 Peter 1:10-11). Our glorification is otherwise known as the redemption or salvation of the body (Rom 8:23) to an incorruptable and glorious body (1 Cor 15:42-44).
Glorification is God's Plan
The religious mind struggles to accept that God would glorify mankind. However this is exactly what God intended to do from eternity before and it is called a great salvation (Heb 2:3). The great salvation is for God to crown mankind with glory and honor (Heb 2:7), in Christ (John 17:22).
The Psalmist in 115:1 says that God's glory should not be given to us, but only to God. Unfortunately this is according to the revelation of the Old Testament and does not consider the revelation of the New Testament which says that God's will and plan is to glorify His children. Mankind are fallen sinners, God is Holy.. the Jews struggled to accept a human being called a son of God, (John 10:36), let alone being given God's glory. But all these things are possible now through Christ.

God's Glory Points
- The Bible says that we get the same glory that God gave to Christ (John 17:22, 1 Thess 2:12). The result of this glory is oneness (John 17:22). If we truly have God's glory we would give up disunity and become one (John 17:22).
- Sin is not merely breaking the rules. Sin is actually falling short of God's glory (Rom 3:23). Perhaps we do not break any known rules, but perhaps our bad attitudes, motives and behaviors are not according to God's glory.
- We have no glory in and of ourselves. The glory which we receive is entirely of Christ. Christ Himself is our glory (Col 1:27, 3:4).
- It should be the hope for the Christian to be glorified (not merely to go to Heaven), and we can have certain hope for our glorification because Christ lives in us (Col 1:27).
- We do not have to wait until we are resurrected to experience God's glory - it is God's intention to transform us from glory to glory as we behold Christ (2 Cor 3:18), not merely to be saved from our sins.
- We don't glorify God just as individuals but also corporately as the Church (Eph 3:10, Eph 3:21).
- To be glorified we must pass through suffering (Rom 8:17). God's glory is within our inner man, but his glory cannot be released unless our natural man is broken, just as Christ's glory was not released until His body was broken on the cross.
- Having hope of glorification gives us strength to endure suffering willingly (Rom 8:18).
- The creation eagerly awaits the glorification of the sons of God (Rom 8:19), that is, the redemption of the body (Rom 8:23).
- God's glory results from living in His kingdom and living a life which is worthy of His glory (1 Thess 2:12). We can not experience God's glory unless we are living under our ruling Lord and King in the Kingdom of God. The opposite of living in God's glory with its love, light and life, is to live in hatred, darkness, and death (1 John 1:6, 1 John 2:11).
