The fruit of the Spirit

Galatians 5 verse 22 - 26

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Interesting that God is calling it the FRUIT of the Spirit and not FRUITS.

All these components attributes towards 1 FRUIT. And if 1 component is missing, the complete FRUIT gets rotten.

Matthews 3 verse 8

Produce fruit worthy of repentance.

How often do we find ourselves claiming to be children of God, yet we do not pay closer attention to the truth of the FRUIT of God's Spirit.

Yes the fruit of the Spirit is walking in the light, walking with God, being a light on a hill, walking in truth, staying salty, and pretty much the whole purpose of becoming a
Christian. Without the Fruit of the Spirit one is just being religious on the outside.
2Peter 1: 5-10
Diligence... Faith... Virtue... Knowledge... [virtue is manliness > strength of character]
Temperance [self control] ... Patience [endurance] ... Godliness [piety, being devout] ...
Brotherly kindness [fraternal affection] ... charity [love] ...
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacks these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
