[h=3]The Favour Factor · Saturday, March 2nd · Rhapsody of Realities 2013[/h][h=4]Pastor Chris[/h][h=5]And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath… (Deuteronomy 28:13).[/h]
Colossians 1:12 says, "Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light." The favour of God upon your life has qualified you to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light. It has qualified you to be the head and not the tail. You’ve been chosen of God for greatness, to be above only. Psalm 5:12 reveals God’s gracious disposition towards you; it says, "For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield."
God wants you to be conscious of the favour factor! He wants you to know that as the seed of Abraham, divine favour is working in you twenty-four hours a day! That favour puts you ahead and positions you for the glorious life like it did Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Isaac sowed in a time of famine, and yet reaped a hundredfold harvest in the same year (Genesis 26:12- 13)—because of the favour of God on his life.
Read about his father, Abraham; the Bible tells us that after helping to defeat the enemies of Sodom, he refused to accept any compensation from the king of Sodom. In Genesis 14:23, Abraham said, "I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich." Abraham understood that there was nothing the king of Sodom could give to him that would compare to the advantage God had already given him; he had a treasured relationship with God.
Remember, you’re Abraham’s seed; therefore despite the global economic meltdowns, downgrades and recessions, being a child of grace puts you ahead. You can never be disadvantaged. The Bible says, "When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, there is lifting up..." (Job 22:29). You have the grace-advantage; it’s the power of promotion that causes your life to levitate from glory to glory.
Confession
I’m highly favoured of God, and positioned by His grace for a life of peace and total prosperity! I’m blessed of God; and with favour has He surrounded me like a shield!
