The Fan Part 2: The Player - March 29, 2007
The Player faced the angry mob that had come to take Him away. One of His fans made a blundering attempt to defend Him. Then, all His fans scattered, leaving the Player to face the crowd alone. The Player did not resist the crowd's hostilities. He allowed them to mock and torture Him, knowing that this would mean life for His now absent fans, just as the Rulebook had said.
Finally, the crowd executed Him while His fans watched from a safe distance. Everyone left the Game early, thinking it was over. But even though the Player had foretold it, no one expected the thing that happened next. He rose again, single-handedly precipitating the most thrilling overtime victory ever witnessed.
