Hello;

I would like to know kind of clothes we should wear to church so that we may never be never become a stumbling block to others.

And for those who do not dress properly, what should be our attitude?

In fact, I joined many non christian websites and I meet there many pictures but also many people who fear our Lord GOD. I can tell aboiut Myspace where my URL means all: Crazy_In_Christ .

well, if I meet any kind of those persons who are not dressed properly, what should I do. Knowing these are also peope who need to meet and accept Jesus Christ.

Shalom!!!

The dress code (rules for how to dress at church) is the responsibility of the elders at your church. Approach people who violate the rules with love and explain what the rules are and why they are important. If they continue to violate the rules, tell the elders about it.

People seem to wear whatever they want to wear these days but the important thing is what is in the heart not so much what you look like. You can be dressed in the best attire and not display the right attitude from the heart.

I know some places have uniform for those who become soldiers, but apart from that nobody tells you what to wear.

I think we need to be guided by the Holy Spirit as to what we wear out to Church or any other day. We should look good for Jesus.

People look at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart. 1 Sam.16.7

God bless

For those who truly love Jesus and follow Him, modesty will prevail in their dress codes. But, keep in mind that being modest does not necessarily mean being fashionable.

I will never forget being in church one Sunday when a woman entered wearing a very short and tight skirt, spiked heels, and a revealing halter top. I remember people were giving her disapproving looks and some were whispering. She appeared to be embarrassed, but she stayed.

Initially I wondered why on earth she would come to church dressed like that. Then, another thought entered my mind....maybe she was a prostitute seeking Jesus and salvation. Then I thought about Jesus forgiving Mary Magdalene, and the importance she would later have in His life. I was then ashamed of myself.

Mark 16:9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

Amen, this is true. Its a good "check yourself" before you walk in the door of the church building. In a way, its hypocritical of a person to dress modestly at church, then dress revealing outside church. No one can fool GOD at all.

Sister that was perfect piece of Scripture to use as an example of not to judge or say pre-judge someone, especially at church. That's a critically horrible mistake for any believer to make. Too many stories of these incidents where one "low" person comes in seeking Jesus out of curiosity, interest and they got judged, hammered down and out because of how they appear on the outside. Its a shame that believers act this way because after all, we are ALL sinners.

Prostitute or not, this lady didn't come to church because she was bored and didn't have anything better to do that Sunday. She was there because the Lord was drawing her to himself. Probably, she knew the clothes she was wearing were inappropriate, but they were the only kind of dress clothes she owned.

Remember the "sinful woman" who broke in on a dinner party Jesus had been invited to at the home of a Pharisee named Simon (see LK 7:36-50)? She stood weeping behind Jesus. Her tears wet his feet. She wiped them with her hair and poured perfume on them from an alabaster jar. It's a good bet that she wasn't wearing "decent" clothes that day, either.
