The diminishing light

Are we living for him, has the light of god been placed in you
Has his grace been taken in vain
Is his love in you still as abundant as the springs rain
Have we forgotten how he took away all the pain
Have we forgot why the precious blood of Jesus was shed
Has our spirit man become dead
But I say
Let not our hearts be hardened
Let not our flesh win
For this is not just any battle
This is the battle of sin
