Matthew 7:15 - 'Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's
clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by
their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?'

You can always tell the condition of a tree by the fruit it bears. If*the fruit is corrupt, according to the Word, the tree itself is*corrupt. Bad fruit can be the best warning sign that you can have*because it shows you that something is definitely wrong. When there is*no joy, no peace, no faith, no meekness, etc. then something is wrong*with your spirit. The Spirit of God produces it's own kind of fruit*and if that fruit is not being produced in you, then something is*wrong. So many times we glory in ourselves. We love to accomplish*things and we measure each other by what we have accomplished in this life.*But God measures us by the fruit we bear. And his Spiritual fruit*comes with his Spirit. Speaking in tongues uncontrollably, hollering the loudest*in service, singing until folks start crying, or calling yourself by*prestigious titles, etc. does not make you spiritual. Your fruit will*prove where you are in Christ. Your behavior is a sure sign of how*much God is really operative in you.
*
The fruits of God's Spirit brings glory to him and not us. This is the*dilemma that many self centered believers face. If you want to bear*God's fruit, you have to die to your own will. I know so many people*that do not bear the fruit of God's Spirit, and it's because it does*not bring them attention or glory. Let me explain. Have you ever*known a person that always wants you to feel sorry for them? There is always drama and misery going on in their life, but they love telling*you about it so they can get your sympathy and attention? Well, they*will not embrace the Spiritual fruit of God because it will stop their*showcase and cause them to be victorious and bring glory to God instead*of themselves. Have you ever known a minister or saint that talks*about themselves all the time? They brag about who they are in Christ*or always talk about what they have, what they have done, or where they*have been? The fruit of God's Spirit cannot be born in them because*God's fruit always point back to himself and brings himself glory. But*in order for us to glory in our own self, we must produce our own fruit*and not God's Spiritual fruit. I wish some folks would just walk*around in a spiritual reality show. Take a camera man everywhere they*go. Then they will see that the spirituality they are confessing is not*being proven by their fruit. Your fruit is your measure and it shows*where you truly are in Christ. If you are super saved, but no one is*ever lead to Christ by you, then something is wrong. If you call*yourself an apostle or prophetess, but you can't stop sleeping around,*then something is wrong. If you are an all powerful women of God, but*your husband won't get saved, then something is wrong. If you always*bring up your problems and negative circumstances just to get pity and*attention, then something is wrong. Take heed and understand that you can*talk it and believe it, but without the fruit, it's not real.
