"For the preaching of the cross is for them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."

That portion of you that rejects your own cross, given by the hand of God, is the domain of Satan in your life, and is the portion that must die on it.

"Get thee behind me Satan for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men." Words spoken to Peter as he insisted that Jesus not be crucified.

By the cross Jesus came to possess all the magnificence of his Father. And by his victory, he revealed the cross to be the celestial gateway to spiritual perfection.

"He was PERFECTED by the things that he suffered." Heb 5:9 "After he was PERFECTED HE BECAME THE SOURCE OF ETERNAL SALVATION for all who obey him."

"We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor."

"Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death; and he was numbered
with the transgressors."

"Jesus Christ who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth."

"....These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the BEGINNING OF THE CREATION OF GOD."

"As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God."

Does it not seem strange that Jesus would tell us that we are all the children of the most high, but then we are told that if we receive him he gives us the power to
become the sons of God????

Consider that Jesus, the true witness, is the BEGINNING OF THE CREATION OF GOD as he himself says. He was the Son of God in the flesh and was a child of the
most high, but in submitting to his cross and obedience unto death hath obtained a name above all other names and is the first BEGOTTEN OF THE DEAD PROCLAIMED
TO BE THE SON OF GOD WITH POWER ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT OF HOLINESS
by the RESURRECTION FROM THE DEAD. (To he that overcometh will I give a white stone and on the stone a new name that no man may know save he that receives it.) Sound familiar??
As it was after his resurrection he said "All power is GIVEN UNTO ME in heaven and in earth." The fulfillment of the proclamation???

The glorious destiny promised to each son of God will be obtained individually, on the cross that God has ordained for them.

The cross when applied to you will result in the death of the carnal mind which is the part of you that rejects the sovereignty of God for it is the enmity (opposition)
between you and he. And eventually birth in you the mind of Christ which knows that ALL things that a man receives are given by the hand of God be it called
good or evil. But the mind of Christ does not see things given to him as GOOD or EVIL it sees only that it is given by the hand of God and must be accepted for its own good. "....O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt."

The cross is a battle that most professing Christians lose. For when it comes they do not recognize it as their gateway to greater spiritual understanding. Instead
they are overcome by their visible circumstances and surmise their pain is the result of misfortune or others wickedness. They fail to see Gods sovereignty behind
every event, and thus fail to follow the example given by Jesus Christ.
This is the "offense" of the cross . This lack of insight is a carnal blindness that remains as the greatest enemy to spiritual victory. But thanks be to God the offenses
will continue as you are crucified unto the destruction of the carnal mind and then see as Jesus that it is your heavenly Father who is crucifying you. WHY you say?
Because thats what he did to Jesus and to every son that he receives. And as surely as Jesus was raised from the dead and is sit down at the right hand of the throne of God, you will be also, and a partaker of the spoils divided among the strong. Assuming that you are able to drink of the same cup, and to take up your cross daily
and follow him.

If the power of God is the cross, then the comprehension of the process of carnal crucifixion must be understood to be an overcoming son and sit down
with the Lord in
his throne.

Thing is you can't inflict offenses upon yourself, neither can you crucify yourself, so it is imperative that we recognize the things that God puts on our plates that causes
the death of our canal minds, if we do not see it is from his hand we miss the opportunity to be less carnal and stronger spiritually. The longer you fight the process the longer it will take to die to self will and your suffering will be prolonged as you deny the resurrecting power of that cross for your spiritual maturity.

There is much more to be said but let this be a beginning for now.
