The Color of Light?
Does light have a specific color? If God is “light”, and he is, then what color is God? God is NOT sunlight, but he is very similar to sunlight.
Psa 84:11 OUR LORD AND OUR GOD, YOU ARE LIKE THE SUN and also like a shield. You treat us with kindness and with honor, never denying any good thing to those who live right. (CEV)
There was a time, and I am sure that even today people worship the “sun”. The Book of Romans chapter one tells us many people use to worship “created things” (the sun) more than the creator.
God has a color, but we can not pin him down to just one color. God is many colors, and if you mix all the colors known to man, and some we can not even see we come up with pure light! If God is multi colors then that would mean his Wisdom would also be multi-colored. All Wisdom is the understanding of God.
The “knowledge of God” is exactly just that. It is the “knowledge” that belongs to God and he gives it to people who desire it!
The scripture tells us that Wisdom is most important, and the most valuable thing God can give to anyone!! There is nothing in this world, or the world to come that can be compared to Wisdom. No man or woman could ever receive anything more valuable then Wisdom. No wonder that is true because Jesus Christ is the WISDOM, and power of God!!!
1Co 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
1Co 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, CHRIST THE POWER OF GOD, AND THE WISDOM OF GOD.
Before Jesus came to earth the Lord God spoke through his prophets to his people, but when Jesus came he spoke through his Son Jesus Christ. (Heb 1:1-2)
Now that Jesus has been resurrected to the right hand of God, the Lord God is now speaking through his body the Church!
Eph 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
Eph 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hidden in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Eph 3:10 To THE INTENT THAT NOW UNTO THE PRINCIPALITIES AND POWERS IN HEAVENLY PLACES MIGHT BE KNOWN BY THE CHURCH THE MANIFOLD WISDOM OF GOD,
The word, “MANIFOLD” in verse 10 means, “diverse, various, MULTI- COLORED. Manifold, multifarious, greatly diversified, abounding in variety”
Other translations call God's Wisdom as being “many-sided” A precious stone like a “diamond” has many sides “facets” that causes any light that shines through it to be separated into its many colors that make up that one light!!
Jesus is known as the cornerstone who is precious, and it is wonderful in our eyes!! (Mark 12:10-11) I guess so, you talk about a light show like no other!!
1Pe 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I LAY IN ZION A CHIEF CORNERSTONE, ELECT, PRECIOUS: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
Not only is Jesus a precious cornerstone that emits multi colors of himself, we also are living stones that make up his body!!!!
1Pe 2:3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
1Pe 2:4 To whom COMING, AS UNTO A LIVING STONE, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
1Pe 2:5 YE ALSO, AS LIVELY STONES, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Not only is Jesus a living stone, we also who make up his body are living stones which shine forth God's Glory in many multicolored light as God shines through his Church!!!!
Who are the ones who are going to reveal this Glory of God's Wisdom to ALL the principalities, and powers in the Heavenly places?
Eph 3:9 and TO BRING TO LIGHT FOR EVERYONE WHAT IS THE PLAN OF THE MYSTERY HIDDEN FOR AGES in God, who created all things,
Eph 3:10 so that THROUGH THE CHURCH THE MANIFOLD WISDOM OF GOD MIGHT NOW BE MADE KNOWN TO THE RULERS AND AUTHORITIES IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES.
Eph 3:11 This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord,
If we want to know one of the greatest mysteries of all time, that God had kept hidden within himself it is this. God's purpose and intent from eternity was that from now on he is going to use his Church to shine forth his multi-color Wisdom unto ALL the rulers, and authorities in the Heavenly places forever!!!!
Now that is something to talk about, and meditate on!!!
