The Cart before the Horse

When things are done in the right way things go so much more smoothly. Take a cart and a horse. IF the horse is out in front of the cart the cart can be pulled that was the way it was designed to work. But when we put the cart before the horse well the cart just sits there. It will only work if we put the horses back in front of the cart.

Well are we not like that with God? I have visualized myself sitting in a cart and looking over my shoulders only to see God behind me shrugging HIS shoulders saying well what do you want me to do back here?


It is only when I acknowledge that I got ahead of God can I than pick up my cart no matter the weight and place it back behind God and THEN hand the reigns back over to HIM


I mean what better place to be than behind the very ONE who created the heavens and the earth who knows what tomorrow holds. When God is out in front with the reigns He tends to smooth the path out before us. Though it will not always be completely smooth as through the bumps of life we learn but oh how much smoother the ride is when we follow behind HIM as he paves the way.

I wonder how often we really do that in fact!

On a daily basis do we go to the Lord first, and ask him to be in charge of our day, or just head out on our own, and hope he picks up the pieces.
I know I have done that many times.
Even in sickness, do we go to the Lord first? Or run to a DR.
I know I'm guilty of that one, and without even realizing it until God pointed it out to me one day in the scripture. 2 Chron. 16:12

The Doctors were doing me no good, but I had yet not thought to take it to the Lord.
I think to often we tend to do that in many areas. :embarasse
