The word covenant appears 34 times in the New testament.
In some cases it is referring to the "old" covenant.
But more often than not when it mentions the "new" covenant... it mentions the blood.
Matt 26:28; "My blood of the covenant"
Mark 14:24; "My blood of the covenant"
Luke 22:20; "the new covenant in My blood"
1 Cor 11:25; "the new covenant in My blood"
Heb 9:18; "even the first covenant was not inaugurated without blood". (also see verses 16 and 17)
Heb 9:20; This is the blood of the covenant"
Heb 10:29; "the blood of the covenant"
Heb 12:24; "a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood"
In Luke 22:17-21; we see the account of the Lord's supper (also called communion)
This is repeated 1 Cor 11:23-30;
In both places it also says the "new covenant in my blood".
In 1 Cor 11:27; it warns of drinking "the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the "blood" of the Lord.
Each person is to examine their self, if they do not judge rightly, they drink judgement upon themselves.
The new covenant is the sacrifice Jesus made, the price he paid with His blood.
He paid for our sins, you and me. No one else did this. No one else could.
