'The Begetting and The Birth' ( 1 Peter 1:23; John 3:3 )

I have given a link to a short study on this subject which you may find interesting, It shows the difference between begetting and birth, and what both mean for the believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. If you read it you will probably want to comment on it. If you don't read it, then you do not have sufficient interest to want to discuss it anyway. I hope you do. :)

Thank you

According to the New Testament, Jesus is God's offspring (Luke 1:35)

In point of fact, Jesus is God's one and only offspring, viz: there are no others.
(John 1:14, John 1:18, John 3:16, Hebrews 11:17, and 1 John 4:9)

Born-again Christians sometimes like to think of themselves as God's offspring but
in reality they are merely His handiwork, i.e. creations. (Ephesians 2:10, Colossians
3:10) and have a place in God's home by adoption. (Romans 8:15, Galatians 4:5,
Ephesians 1:5)

'Being born again, [ gennao (G1080) anagennaō (G313) ]
not of corruptible seed,
but of incorruptible,
by the word of God,
which liveth and abideth for ever.'
(1Pe 1:23)

'Jesus answered and said unto him,
Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again, [ gennao (G1080). anothen (G509) ]
he cannot see the kingdom of God.'
(Joh 3:3)

The Begetting And The Birth

1 Peter 1:23; John 3:3

Nicodemus came to the Lord by night to ask a question. We are not told directly what his question might have been. But we can surmise from the reply given, that his question was about the kingdom and no doubt along the same line as the apostles asked in Acts 1:6 . The question was when it would be setup.
The reply is clear and concise. A man (Nicodemus) or ye (Israel, Nicodemus being a representative), must be born from above or again to see or to enter into the kingdom. This places the time. It is when they are resurrected.

So far, up till now, the Lord is the only one who has been born again. Even He could not enter into His kingdom without being born again or resurrected. But now He is the firstborn from the dead .

Since He is counted as the firstborn from the dead, then it must follow that all who had been brought to life in the OT and such as the Lord raised in the NT, including Lazarus, the saints raised in Jerusalem at the time of the Lord's resurrection, and even the various times that Paul died and was made alive; all of these did not have a true resurrection or a rebirth. As late as Col 1:18 the Lord is still the firstborn from among the dead. And when John wrote his gospel, the Lord was the only one who had ever ascended to heaven. See John 3:13. So none other has been born again yet.

Our Lord's first begetting was of the Father, and He was God only begotten. So the Lord was not born of bloods, not of the will of the flesh, not of the will of a husband, but of God. He was given to have life in Himself and can give life to as many as it pleases Him.

But what about others? How are they begotten so that they may come to the second birth? We find the answer in 1 Peter 1:3, 1 Peter 1:23. Peter and other believers of that time had been begotten unto a living hope. It was accomplished by the Lord's resurrection. In verse 23 it is further explained that they are begotten (not the word for born), by incorruptible seed, by (faith in) the Word of God. So every believer has this begetting, for eternal life comes through faith, and faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

This begetting is better known as eternal life, the new nature, the new man, the spirit of God, and other names given. Would suggest that you read The Two Natures in the Child of God by E. W. Bullinger and make a list of these names.

Note that this begetting is by incorruptible seed. If that be true, then there can be no miscarriage, abortion, or still birth, but all must come to a living birth or resurrection. So to be born again, one must be a believer, begotten of God of incorruptible seed by the Word.

Nicodemus confessed that he believed. Therefore he was begotten of God. But his question was when the time of the kingdom would be, and was told that it would be at his rebirth or resurrection from the dead. The reader is invited to search and see. It may eliminate many difficulties, and answer many questions he may have along these lines.

(This is the study from the link given - as you will see it is unusual. I have actually posted a question on the site, concerning the opening paragraph, and am waiting for a reply, before commenting further)

Thank you

This link will hopefully take you a list of booklets for free download, especially to one entitled, 'The Two Natures in the Christ of God', which is 7th from the bottom, and is one which has been a great blessing to me personally.

Before I comment or reply to this article I will explain the entrance of my approach, although it may sound harsh. But not to harm, but To Edify. In a “Two Witness” Amplified way.

1st. The Text in John 3 (ASV). Does not imply, implicitly or explicitly that “Nicodemus” came to Jesus for the purpose of asking questions but considering who “Nicodemus” was, The purpose was to have a “Conversation” with another”Religious Ruler” “Jesus”.

2nd. “Jesus The CHRIST of GOD” is Not born again or “Born From Above” or Begotten of GOD.
The SON of GOD has Always been with GOD, Always! There Never Was A Time FATHER or THE SON was without one another They Always been together.

The FATHER Created a Special BODY for His “SON” The WORD to Enter. [IMMANUEL] for A Purpose Unknown at That Time To The “The CHRIST” but Will be “Manifested” at The Proper Time To “The CHRIST”.

Note:
There is only One Story, One Purpose, and One Destination, And One END. And this story is not about The Purpose of People This Is All about The LOVE The FATHER has About HIS Only SON! And A “Gift” He Is Going To Present to HIM on That Special DAY!

We are Nothing! It is not or never been about us.

Like “Luther” has said we are like “Snow cover Dung”!

But our sinfulness is so Great we Refuse To Believe The TRUTH, and Think so Highly of Ourselves Just like “The Great DECEIVER” of All Mankind! A Spitting image.:pensive: And we all have no idea The Amount of “Grace” that has been Extended our way, day by day hour by hour, minute by minute second by second. The amount of Mercy and Grace “GOD” continually pour upon our heads, And The more he pours the more sinful we have become.:pensive:

“Where sin abound Grace abounds much more”

The More we Grow in Christ in Sanctification and Holiness the More we see how corrupted we really are. the Brighter The LIGHT gets The More clearer The Corruption we see.

3rd. We cannot determine Divine TRUTH by Stepping in and Out of That Which is “SPIRITUAL DECERN” and define The Natural, That Natural is called Death. Jesus Body died, “Jesus the Anointed of GOD” Cannot Die He has Not “The Ability” To Die! And On The Third Day, HE raised it up! A Dead man [Body] Cannot Raise any thing up!

So much errors in that article and mis use in the beginning of The Text. One error building on another error and error begets error on top of Errors.

And you know better, you do not need no one, to expound The Holy Scripture To You “Complete”. The Parakletos is in you and Alive.

Stop Lap dogging that Regurgitation junk!

You are better than that! I have fed from your hands.

But I will not eat from the junk that come from that plate.

I did prepared you, about “The Two Witnesses” genre:pensive:

Now read John 3 in KJV ASV NIV pre 1984. And spend time there. Pray and feast. Even if the tears have to fall down on you face.

Spend time There. Engage. Then you Critique the article.

I did read all of it. Because you told us to before we responded.

So I did engage. And it was easy, because I been through this over hundreds and maybe hundreds of Times so it is like “Banana Putting”.

'Faithful are the wounds of a friend;
but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.'
(Pro 27:6)

Hello @PloughBoy,

Thank you for your response. I receive it as it was intended. With love.
