I don't like it when people say, "you said you believe this..." .... it's not about what any of us "believe". It's only about what the Bible says. There can't be 18 different ways to believe something about a single verse that all contradict each other. Jesus prayed for unity among Christians (john 17:20-21) and Paul pleaded in 1 cor 1:10 that we all speak the same thing, be of the same mind and same judgement, and that there be NO divisions among Christians. Someone is right. Denominations and different beliefs are NOT ok. Why can't we all just look at what the Bible says and stick to that alone instead of "believing" whatever we want.

It's not about what someone believes. It's about what the Bible says. When I say something, don't say to me, well that's what you believe... because my response is gonna be, "well, that's what the Bible says!"

I love my Saviour as much as you do and all I want is to fulfill the prayer of unity he prayed before He gave Himself so that you and I might live...Let us all be open-minded to exactly what the Bible says and that alone (Deut 4:2) when we are studying together to achieve unity in Christ.

Do you feel you always interpret the scriptures properly?

Precious sister....in Jesus. I am sure you have met Him.......Jesus...But have you met Him on the floor....having been overcome by His Love.....and presence.

Such love of Jesus puts away all debate.......which we are aware trouble all who would follow Him.

Even amongst bible believing Christians there is always going to be some doctrinal error. That is what happens when humanity comes in contact with anything.
If we are born again believers then His love should be enough of a bond. Even churches in the first century had different doctrines and even different books they considered canon.

I agree with you. However, some will still not see what is plainly said, and then call it a mystery in a way they want to percieve it, or that it applies to something else. Everything needs to be completely exhausted in prayer and study.

How full of power would the 'church' be if all would see what is there being revealed instead of trying to make what is there conform to what they have been taught to believe.

Matthew 13:10-15
And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”
He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:

‘ Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,
And seeing you will see and not perceive;
For the hearts of this people have grown dull.
Their ears are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should heal them.’

And it is still so with some today.

My experience, everyone is a critic. LOL.

No disrespect intended; for those who think they have it all together Jesus left this verse to ponder:

Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Mat 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Mat 7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Mat 7:4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Mat 7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
