Dear brothers and sisters at TalkJesus,

If anyone has an extra second will you life me up in prayer? I am thankful that it seems the Lord is bringing me out of a very trying season in my life... at times it seemed it would go on forever! It does seem though that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I am so thankful for all that is learned through trials, if we only hold on.

I have started a new job, though, if anyone could mention my name in prayer I would be so grateful. Please pray for me that the Lord will keep me strong enough to maintain the light of Jesus in my workplace. It is a very worldly environment... I have been without a decent job for two years, really the better part of five years. I am so grateful to have finally found employment, but I very much need the help of the Lord to maintain all He has blessed me with over the most recent years.

He has brought me so far; I want to live to show the light of all He has helped me to overcome. I want to be what He called me to be. Now is the time but the way is so rough. Pray for me that I have the strength to persevere!!!!

Amen littlelight... i like your username... no matter how little the light it seems, but Jesus in us is not... Take comfort and delight in this: the life and the light we have in Him will indeed shine and the darkness cannot (overcome it) hide it... John 1:4-5

John 1:4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it. Amen

Know that Jesus (IS) not (WAS) nor (WILL) but is always present with us wherever we are... Amen Psalm 23 is sure a very comforting verse too and lot more.

I shall be remembering you in my prayers...

Blessings and love from the Lord in me,

TheWidowsOffering

I will also pray for you littlelight,I have recently been made redundant so I know what its like to be out of work, and at 51 here in the UK there is little chance of me finding work.May The Lord bless you and give you all the strength and perseverance you need.

I too will be lifting you in prayer to our Lord Jesus! Praise Him for the employment He has given you and for bringing you out of the difficult time you have being dealing with and Praise for giving you what you need to go forth and do what He has set before. I know He is giving you strength for this and with Him you will persevere!

TheWidowsOffering,

Thank you dear sister, your words of encouragement help me very much.

God bless you, I thank Him for your precious heart.

Wow

Wow I just realized all of the replies!!!

Bless you all, your words of comfort are more dear to me than you could know. What a strange world we live in when men glory in unrighteousness all the day long... how very encouraging to me to get to come home and find these words and prayers.

I am so very thankful for all of you, it helps to find the encouragement to try another day. ☺

Dear Cariad Iesu,

Praying for you too. May we know what is meant by these struggles and how to survive in these rough economic times.

just remember "Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:10 and "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33. Sometimes you have to stand for what's right even if it means standing alone. The last line of John 16:33 "I have overcome the world." is one of my personal favorites. Doing the right thing doesn't always mean it'll always be easy, but I'm a firm believer that God's will won't ever take you to where God's grace can't reach you.
