Does anyone have any good sites that tell who chose which texts to put in the Bible and why the other texts were left out? Or if anyone knows the answer I would love to hear more about this subject.

God Bless

Yesterday I was asking myself that question, " who, what, when and why "

And the Holy spirit put me in my place.

I felt ashame for asking God why HE choose the Books and left out some.

2 Peter 1:20-21
20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,[a] 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit

---------------------------------

2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work
.

I cant answer the question why some was left out because everything is in God's will and to try and break that code seem useless for me, I think how the Bible came together was perfect.

I'm sure when we get to heaven we can ask him, why He didn't add the other text.

for a bit this one was a biggie for me because we know that the catholic church is corrupt. however it was a big one for me because then i did not know that God is really in full and total and complete control of all things including His word.

It is God who chose the books and He used men whether wicked or rightous to make sure the right books were there and others were not. and if you look at the books left out you find that they all contain false doctorines and inconsistancies.

for instance one of the books always considered is the book of enoch but that book is proved false because first off it says it rained when there was no rain yet and real heavenly angels did not fall and breed with human women physically and they did not bare children who became giants. this is a popular christian belief, based on that book and jewish myths and appears when you want to see it that the bible says it but when you study it more carefully just in the word of God it is clear that the " sons of God" are not angels but the children of seths line and in hebrews it says what angel have I ever called son! This is how we know that Jesus nature is not that of an angel.

a good thing to look into is bible numerics which were revealed to a mathmatician named ivan panin. He found that because all hebrew and greek letters are also numbers, that the NT and OT has a perfect numeric pattern in them that proves from word to word verse to verse book to book that it is inspired of God and not of man and if one word is left out or one book added the pattern fails!

Are you referring to the canonization process for the bible or the translation process for a certain translation?

Canonization process. How did they pick which books to put in?

In order to answer your question Cody, I will have to do some searching. I believe I have some info from my studies in apologetics on my PC but I will have to locate them. I have many reference books in my library but I am a poor typist and you probably would get your answer anytime soon LOL. I will also check to see what is available online. I'll get back to you as sson as possible.
