In October 2005, Noviana and three other teenagers were taking a small footpath on the way to their Christian high school near Poso, Indonesia. Suddenly, from out of the jungle, sprang six masked men in all black, wielding machetes. Noviana fought bravely, but was struck across the side of her face and neck with a machete. She fell to the ground and rolled down into a ravine. Above, she heard her friends screaming. Just when she was about to lose hope, a van of soldiers appeared and took her to a hospital.

Noviana was the only survivor that day. After the attack, she was hidden in a Christian village and guarded by police because her testimony was needed in court. The radical Muslims who had killed her friends were still looking for her. It was even too dangerous for her to attempt a hospital visit.

After months of negotiation to guarantee her safety, VOMedical was finally able to arrange transportation to a hospital in Surabaya, Indonesia. While in hiding VOMedical will continue follow-up treatment.

This is just really to sad.
It is good that she escaped with her life. The terrible things these Muslims do that are filled with such HATE.
Surely there are so me that must realize how much The Almighty GOD hates such action.
The sad truth is that these same bad things go on everywhere whether Muslim or not.

Brother Chad, I would offer you a quiet word of caution. I speak with love, not judgment, because we are both of the one Body, and I truly pray that you do not take offense.

'Always' is a very definite word. It means that you are saying that a muslim is the only person who ever perpetrates this kind of violent crime. That obviously isn't true. Yes, the majority of 'reported' hate crimes against Christians are done by Muslim extremists in this age, but they are not the only group. Christians are murdered in Pakistan by Hindu extremists for example.

This incident should also be examined in context. It occurred near the city of Poso in Central Sulawesi. That area has been subject to intense, horrific sectarian fighting between Christian and Muslims for many years. In 1998 for example a drunken brawl between Christians and Muslim youths sparked fighting that saw more than 1000 people from both sides killed. And that is just the tip of the iceberg.

I'm not saying that one side is more or less to blame than the other, but remember "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" Rom 3:23. That includes you and I. If not for the grace of Jesus Christ you could yourself have been born into a Muslim family, born under that curse and walked a path that put that machete in your hands.

And would Jesus have ever looked at the Pharisees and Jews who were about to murder Him, and said that they were the 'absolute origin of evil'? If they were the origin they would have to be older than Satan himself.

What did He say instead?
"Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." Luke 23:34
Jesus hates sin, but never hates the sinner. If He did, He would have hated you and I, and we would be condemned to eternity in the lake of fire.

Jesus tells us to bless those who curse us, to pray for those who persecute us. He also says very, very clearly.
"But if you do not forgive men their sins, neither will your Father forgive your sins." Matt 6:15

Please study up on that. Once saved, always saved is a myth; the Bible clearly teaches that we can loose our gift of salvation by not forgiving all men of all their sins.

As to the statement that they know that what they are doing is wrong but don't repent..... How did you know that what you were doing in your life was wrong and that you needed to repent? The Spirit of Jesus Christ convicted you of sin, He opened your understanding and He worked in you to bring you to repentance. He could just as easily close your ears and harden you heart against the Word. All of us who have received the free and unmerited gift of salvation must remember this;
"Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given." Matt 13:11

I've made this a really long post, but this is so important. We all must be examining everything we say and do, to make sure that we aren't speaking from our 'old man'. It is not good for us to make generalized statements that are in fact untruths. We must 'put on the mind of Christ'.

Satan's tactics seek to stir up judgment, distrust, hate, sectarianism and bitterness. We must never give him any ground, or any point of victory, no matter how small it may seem.

"For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16. Praise GOD!

I understand your concern but there is no two sides to this story. The girl didnt asked for this to happen, most of the violence reported by the voice of Martyrs are commited by muslims.

Christians and jews are being prosecuted every day because of their faith.

Radical muslims are just that, I have muslim friends they attended the same private Christian school as me.

To be fair we can say there are good and bad Christians as there is muslims.....

But its not about the " person ", because being good is not the ticket to heaven, it's the belief system, which we judge.

Chad's words are not merely opinion but if you read their scriptures ( not telling anyone to meditate on it ) you will see that, His statements are not judgemental but the true " way of life " Islam has to offer.

In my partial study of Cults/Religion the term " always " make sense because its commanded to hate Jews and Christians, or any non believer. They are commanded to wage war, and die to get riches in their heaven.

In this world there is good and bad people....when we test islam to Christianity ,we are able and allowed to judge the beliefs.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.1 John 4:1

You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. (Titus 2:1)

The righteous hate what is false (Prov. 13:5)


Discriminating against a person is one thing.

It's taken me a while to reply here because I've been waiting on the LORD , wanting to have His Will. I'm going to keep it simple and try not to put in too much of my own words. All Bible verses are taken from NKJV.

The thing is that you both (Rizen1 and Chad) missed my point. The topic of this post (Islamic extremists acting evilly against Christians) is irrelevant to my concern for Chad's state of heart, and Rizen1's as well.

Going straight to the Word of God:

Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.

But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward men appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, Titus 3:1-5 (underscore mine)

This is a direct command of the Word of God. This statement:

does not comply with the above admonishment of the apostle Paul.

I will not dispute the koran with you, I will not argue the humanistic point of view that their acts of cruelty are worse than mine so therefore they are evil and I am good. I will, however, point you to the Word of God, the God who saved you out of sin and who loves you so much that He sent someone in here to speak His Word to you.

Here's some more great instruction from Proverbs.

The mouth of the righteous is a well of life,
But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all sins. Prov 10:11-12

Whoever hides hatred has lying lips,
And whoever spreads slander is a fool. Prov 10:18

There is so much in the Word about the destruction caused by our tongues, our words. I could give dozens of Bible verses. But I'll just give these:

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things. Phil 4:8

Pleasant words are like honeycomb,
Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones. Prov 16:24

If we are to give a report, it must edify the Body, if we are to tell a story it must build us up in our most holy faith and bring glory to Jesus. If it does none of those things, we should remain silent and not repeat it, even if the details are true.

And finally these most excellent words have saved me more than once and brought me to repentance:

He who keeps instruction is in the way of life,
But he who refuses correction goes astray. Prov 10:17

Ask Jesus what He thinks, I know He loves to guide and protect His lambs.

Dear Brother Chad,

I'm in total agreement with you. Since you haven't heard of any other killing a Christian except the muslims, I want you to know what is happening in India:

Many hindus are trying to wipe out the Christian population in India (especially North India). In north India, Christians are being killed and presecuted intensely by the hindus. In south India, many hindus hate Christians but there is not much persecution in the cities, but in some villages the persecution is intense.

This is what I want to share with you. There are infact many things I want to share with you. I wish if you could come to India.
