Talking animals and stones.

It seems in the Bible things can talk, that we don't normally think of as talking. Here are a few examples.

Gen 3:1; Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Indeed, has God said, 'You shall not eat from any tree of the garden'?"

Normally we don't think serpents (dragons/snakes) as being able to speak.

Numb 22:28; And the LORD opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, "What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?"

I could make a comment here about (another word for donkey) speaking here. But in this case, God opened the donkey's mouth.

In the New Testament when Jesus was making the triumphal entry, He said...

Luke 19:40; But Jesus answered, "I tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out!"

It seems God can make even the very rocks talk if He decides to.

Another place this may happen is...

Rev 5:13; And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, "To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever."

I've heard some say we will be able to talk to the animals in Heaven. I haven't seen scripture to support this yet, but I suppose it's possible.

satan is a serpent and a spirit, he enters into any people he chooses, and talks through them 2 Timothy 2:26..

1 Kings 22:1 And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will persuade him.
22 And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.
23 Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee.

Bearing that example of the way things are done, as seen it is done from heavens command, we see the Lord had to open the eyes of Balaam to see the angel of the Lord with the sword. This shows how the donkey saw the angel of the Lord with his sword, because the Lord had first opened the eyes of Balaams donkey to give Balaam an escape. Then the question is, is it more right to consider the donkey is warning Balaam, or the Lord was giving all of this warning, including opening the eyes to reveal the danger in the way ? Also remembering that through all of those false prophets above, the Lord had given permission to the spirit to be a lying spirit in the mouth of all of those prophets, and we see then who is talking with mans voice, was the spirit, not the men. The donkey we see below, spoke with mans voice, so does that still mean this is the donkey speaking or the one who made man in His image was speaking and giving the warning to the prophet ?

Numbers 22:31 Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.
32 And the angel of the Lord said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine donkey these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:
33 And the donkey saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive.

2 Peter 2:16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb donkey speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

For the stones to cry out, is how the Lord does things, the peace and joy of the grace of Christ that came to earth, meant the mountains and hills were singing the praise of the Lord, but who heard them ? The mountains also bringing forth peace to the people, but not to be seen, as the mountain is Christ..

Isaiah 55:12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Psalm 72:3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.

Isaiah 25:7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.

2 Corinthians 3:14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.

In this mountain, the vail He will destroy, which vail is done away in Christ, (in this mountain/Christ)

Heaven then would not be a place to talk with the animals, it is a place, for ever, to reveal the riches of the grace of Christ, the kindness we did not deserve, of Him leaving Heaven for us, to come to an evil world that betrayed and murdered Him, until He rose again quickened in the Spirit. Being in Christ and Christ being in us, is being in Heaven, His strength is made perfect in weakness, 2 Corinthians 12:9, that is why He was crucified in weakness, so we see the strength of the Lord how He lives anyway by the power of God, and we also are weak in Him but we live by the power of God..

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 13:4 For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.

Guess we'll see what heaven is like when we Get there. God has given us lots of things in This world simply for our pleasure -- so -- it Will be interesting.

All things were made for the pleasure of the Lord, and what we are given is life, God already has this as He is life, so as God tells us, there is nothing we can give to Him, as all belongs to Him. Serving the Lord with our life is what we are called to do, not by choice or for reward, life was already given to us and we want to keep it.

Psalm 133:3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

John 12:25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Isaiah 66:1 Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
