Three great sets of blueprints given in the Bible.

1.) The Tabernacle , (Ex. 25:9, 40) , which was given to Moses.

2.) The Temple, (1 Chron. 28:11-12, 19), which was given to David.

3.) The Church, (1 Cor. 3:10), which was given to Paul.

All are habitations of God. Temples of God. A place where the Holy Spirit of God resides on earth.

When was such instructions given to Paul concerning the proper building of the Church? No doubt it would have been during his three year stay in Arabia prior to his entering upon his ministry. (Gal. 1:15-17) And these instructions came directly from the risen Jesus Christ. (Gal. 1:11-12)

These instructions to Paul were not taught by Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry. The Church was yet future at that time. (Matt. 16:18) Christ during His earthly ministry focused on the promises made to the Jews concerning the Kingdom to be established with Israel as the leading Nation of that Kingdom. (Rom. 15:8) (Heb. 2:3)

Everything Christ said was true, but the emphasis was always the Kingdom. Much of which can be applied to the Church, as we now are the people of God on earth. But the way the Church is to be built, and to function, the great burden of instruction is given to the apostle Paul.

Thus can you not see the confusion many create when they go the 'Gospels' and take what Jesus is saying to Israel concerning the Kingdom to Israel, and trying to make the Church fit. Thus you have the accusations thrown at times that we believe Paul more than Jesus. This is not true. Jesus is the One who gave Paul the blueprints for the Church. Just like Moses, and David, Paul is just the Master builder. Therefore, shouldn't we pay close attention to the instruction Paul has given? Of course we should.

And Moses was given the warning from God to not vacillate in any way from the drawings given, (Ex. 25:9, 40) (Ex. 26:30). And He didn't. He built it exactly as God commanded. (Ex. 39:43). And the result was, God filled the Tabernacle with His Spirit. (Ex. 40:33-34) Solomon was told by David to build the Temple according to the instructions given to him by God. (1 Chron. 28:12,19) And he did. (2 Chron. 3:1-3) And the result was, God filled the Temple with His Spirit. (2 Chron. 5:13-14)

Thus, we have the same warning given to us by Paul, who was given the drawings of the Church, concerning our building of the Church, the Temple on earth today. (1 Cor. 3:10) "...But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon."
