As i sit and take a look at evangelism in this world today, i cant help but to wonder what happened to Christ being the king on the throne?! At what point have the objects that were used to do so much harm to people become what we need to look at for salvation? When has Christ become less than all other things? Where did flesh fulfilling entertainment become such a huge roll in our "evangelism"? Why do we and why are we taught to put our faith in objects, titles and things rather than the living being that truly died for our salvation?

I find it rather sad that so many "christian" based things have nothing to do with Christ. Yet His name is written all over them all by the people doing them. Just because the name is put into it does not mean that it is actually of Him. As a matter of fact i see that very few of them have anything to do with Him. Oh, sure they are done by people that claim Christ to be their savior. Many of them are even standing before us giving as sermons every Sunday. But, is Christ truly preached? Is Christ the true topic that is brought up as our way of salvation? Is He the theme of what is our rock, shelter, help in time of need according to our systems of Christianity today? Is he the hope that is being given to the people by these so called shepherds and books they study out of?

This past Wednesday i went to a church and sat in their bible study. The teacher was told to use a book to teach the people. Being obedient, the teacher did as he was asked. However the material in the book was very faulty. It claimed the object of which Christ was crucified on to be the central theme of the bible.

I simply find it revolting that the new teaching is that we are saved by the word of God rather than the God of the word. How many times do we have to be told that knowledge of the word does not save us? The cross does not save us. Going to a nice church with a great name does not save us. Nor are they signs or works of faith. Yet these are the big schemes of church leaders and ministers when it comes to "evangelism".

At church we had a great meeting after the service. One of the things that was brought up is how to advertise the church. There is yet to be seen a system of evangelism that proclaims Christ to be the way to the father. But their great commission is lets set up fliers of our church and get our church recognized. Then they can come in and learn the word. If we do not know Christ or have a personal relationship with him we are not even going to understand the word of God for what it is truly stating anyways. So where does Christ fit into our ministries today?

Possibly Christ fits in with all of the face painting, never mentioning him, video games, tattoos of scriptures and a goofy tribal looking thing that one way says life and the other way it says death. Attract the children with jumping toys and pizza parties. Tell the parents of all the great programs that the church has. make sure we have golfing and theater nights to see a secular movie without godly values. Maybe our ministries of dressing up like clowns to entertain will bring Christ into our evangelism schemes. Make sure to show the people ourselves and teach them to look upon us rather than Christ.

Then all we need to do is tell them that the Bible is the only way that God reveals himself to us. If God can only reveal himself through the Bible. Then i cant help but to ask if we truly believe that we are serving a living God. Here is another one, people have to have some kind of knowledge of the word before they can become saved. If this were the case, how were people saved 2,000 years ago after Christ ascended into the heavens? They did not have the bible to read before they were spoke to through the people filled with the Holy Spirit? Do really believe that God has lost power or has changed. I do not believe this. Rather i believe that God is very disappointed in what we have done with the gospel of His only begotten son.

How about the lets show all people this one set of scriptures. This may work for a few people, however God works through us all on a one on one basis. Only he knows the needs of every individual. This is why these set systems of evangelism do not work. It is a flesh key not us being moved by the Holy Spirit moving through us. Once again the power is not of us nor is it our own. Therefore without Christ we have no ministry. If we are becoming popular then i would say that we may want to check our hearts and pray about what we are doing.

Act 2:42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
1Cr 13:10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

Before they finished the NT, they had the OT, same God, same message minus the presence of the Saviour, faith in the Word.
Psa 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
God is not confined to the words, but defined far more than we can ever grasp in a thousand life times , the answers are all there just look for them.

this is true. they are right there for us all to see. however in order to see the real truth we must have the holy spirit. to many are reading with flesh eyes. believing that they have the truth and are misleading millions.
