Suffering

I have toiled for many seasons
I have suffered untold pain
Limping through a red hot desert
Hoping for a fall of rain
Why has God allowed this torment
Surely I'm His special one
Never there when I am calling
On this journey I've begun.

God is shaping you for service
Has a special plan for you
Hang on just a moment longer
Let Him bring it into view
You will be a stronger person
New, refined and full of power
Ready for your new assignment
From a weed you'll be a flower.
