Husbands, love your wives,
as the church is loved by Yah -
living to lay down your lives;
for it is this
holy divine kiss
that is the fulfillment of the law!
By your words come washing waters
which sanctify and cleanse
our heavenly Father's daughters;
it's those who stand
and hear His command
who are the Bridegroom's friends!
Wives, submit to your spouse
by allowing him to wash your feet,
that in the Father's great house
Christ might display
what once was mere clay
a golden vessel, perfect and complete!
Love your companion's life as your own,
for I give you a great mystery to search:
We are the Lord's flesh and bone,
"for a man will lay all aside
to be enjoined to his bride",
but I speak of Jesus and the church!
