Don't make rash promises, and don't be hasty in bringing matters before God. After all, God is in heaven, and you are here on earth. So let your words be few. Ecclesiastes 5:2

Many people need to be encouraged to speak up more—to communicate better and speak words of encouragement and endearment to their loved ones. But on other occasions there’s a great deal to be said for being a person of few words.

You need to be especially careful when trying to resolve difficult problems. You’re a limited mortal, and it’s frequently impossible for you to be aware of all the bits of information that need to be factored into a decision. So tread carefully.

God “inhabits eternity” and says, “I dwell in the high and holy place” (Isaiah 57:15). He is high above the earth and able to see all the pieces of the puzzle from His lofty vantage point, so cry out to Him to help you. Don’t waste time trying to persuade God to go with your plan. Your plan might be doomed to failure from the onset.

When confusing events swirl around you and deadlines loom, it will be very tempting to try to make a snap decision or to force a solution, but refrain from being impetuous. Don’t commit yourself to a course of action until you’re sure that God is in it.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

All of your ways, All of your problems, All of your questions. ALL All All

Have you noticed that some things in the Old Covenant are not appropriate for todays Christians?
an example...David in psalm 51:11 "Take not your Holy Spirit from me..." For a Christian that is not an appropriate prayer. Our Father says "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee..." and the Holy Spirit is so integrated with us that we have His very DNA in our bodies...What would happen if that was removed? That means...with human and God DNA in us we are no longer human but part of God as in FAMILY.

What else can you find that is not appropriate for a Born Again Christian?

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:" Ecc 3:1

"A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;" Ecc 3:7

"But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." Matt 12:36-37

"Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:
Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil." Matt 5:33-37
