Hello everyone,
My name is Kim- You will know me as Beautifulsoul2. I was on talkjesus a couple years ago and had been delivered from alcohol. My life was so wonderful. With Christ in the center how can it not be. I have since relapsed and always find it comforting to be able to come here to talk. Please pray for me. I will be going away to rehab in a few weeks (long term) I hope I can figure out what the problem is within myself and get that Kim back I once knew. I left him.. I allowed other peoples problems to interfere with my sobriety.. I was used, and emotionally a wreck (to say the least). I have lost sight of my faith. I am unsure how to start.. Other then going away and getting the help I need. I know what you are thinking. Get back into my bible. I love scripture. No other love like his love.. I just need others to encourage me and give me some guidance. I feel very alone..This is why I am back.. I pray I did not ramble.. I do that often.. I remain humble and thankful for my life through God's grace on me. Please help.. What ever it is I need to do, I will do it..I have no friends other then my husband. He comes from a Christian family and is very supportive.. Thank you for listening. Kim:baffle:

Welcome back Kim,
Which is exactly what the Lord is saying. He's says welcome back, because I never left you! (Hebrews 13:5)
He was always there waiting for you to turn to Him.

It just at times like that we start thinking we've made it, we've made it! It is also the time we are open to attack by the adversary. He'll use whatever means to turn you away from your first Love.
Below is a devotional that you might be interested in reading.

It basically is telling you don't forget who is out to get you. It's also an awareness that one can only be at rest in the Lord's embrace. Under His watchful eye. Why not only reading scripture is important, but prayer. Praising our God! Worshiping Him. Daily! That is the sure way of keep your focus, going forward from here on out.

Praying for your healing in this affliction of alcohol. Kim.

Praying to hear a testimony of great healing through the Holy Spirit in your life.

Praying that you always remember that when you're feeling weak, you know who can be the strongest.

Praying that you will remember that in your desire to help others, it's really the Lord who is doing the helping. This helps to keep one humble.
In the name of Christ Jesus, Heavenly Father I pray for Kim. Amen.

P.S. Saying your husband comes from a Christian family doesn't say that he is. Awesome that he's supportive. Another rock you can lean on in this hard time.
Remember it's better to have one true friend then a hundred fake ones.

Kim my child , you served a loving God in the past and he has not changed . He knows you're broken Heart before Him and loves you still ! He is the God that restores and welcomes lost and those who have strayed from His path for them ! Even if you had been the only one His love still would have taken Him to the cross just for you .what a wonderful love he us for you , knowing this I encourage you to run to Gods arms and be restored in Jesus name ....Rev

Kim, as a long time member of Alcoholics Anonymous, I have two thoughts: !) When you get to rehab SURRENDER, work that program. Then, when you graduate, dive into the middle of AA, SURRENDER and work that program daily. I've seen many people drag themselves back into AA after a relapse, finally 2) surrender completely, and start on a path that leads them to complete dependence upon a relationship with God, which leads to real serenity.
