"Still Faithful After All These Years"
June 04, 2007 by Pastor Raul Ries
"The King spoke to Daniel, 'Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?"
-Daniel 6:20
At eighty years of age, Daniel was still serving God continually. He had outlasted two previous kings, and at his ripe old age, would work for two more. Though he may have slowed down physically, Daniel was still fully devoted to God. And, because of that, he was still facing the consequences of wicked people's behavior.
Just as so many times before, God delivered His faithful servant in the midst of difficulty! As we get older and more mature in the Lord, we still have many opportunities to serve Him. And with that, there will still be obstacles and difficult trials to walk through. However, let's follow Daniel's example and remain faithful to the end!
Thought for the Day:
Daniel, at 80 years of age, was still standing strong for his faith.
He didn't allow evil people, plans, and circumstances
To alter his devotion to God.
