[B]STANDING STRONG[/B]
What's going on in the world today, Lord?
What's the situation, what's the event?
Lord, why is this going on?
Things and events way beyond our control.
Lord, we can't help but understand why this happens.
Why terror has to strike at the very heart of men?
Why chaos has to take control and disrupt all things?
Why in the midst of peace, the unexpected happens?
Questions; too many questions are going in our heads,
Questions that need answers,
Questions that need solutions,
Questions that can only be answered by You.
Lord, only You know why it happens,
Only You know the very heart of men,
Only You know the very mind of men,
Only You, Lord, know the very soul of men.
Lord, we believe that You will work;
All things good to those who love You; who believe in You,
Only You, Lord, will keep us safe in Your embrace,
Protected and surrounded by Your love from harm's way.
Lord, help us not to take things forgranted,
Help us to not have a could not care less attitude,
Lord, help us to value what we have and who we are,
For to You, Lord, we live and serve.
Lord, help us to be content with what You have given us,
Lord, teach us to value all You have provided for us,
Lord, help us not to take our family and friends forgranted,
For they, O Lord, are valuable and precious in Your eyes.
As we learn to value what You have given us and who we are in You,
Help us to stand strong in You and in Your word,
Help us to be obedient to Your calling in our lives,
That when things around us fall; we will remain firm in You.
As we learn to be wise in what You have taught us,
As we learn to listen to Your voice and to Your promises,
As we hold on strong to the foundations of our faith in You,
Keep us standing, Lord, in Your love when all else fails.
As the winds of chaos and storms of destruction blow around us,
As the roar of the thunder of terror strikes fear around us and within us,
As the hurricanes and tornadoes of life whirl around us in fury,
We will stand strong and firm in You, Lord, for You are our Lord and King.
