Stand In The Way

We ask the Lord for forgiveness yet refuse to forgive the persecutor
Yes I know they stole, they lied and never asked to be forgiven
But did we ask Christ to forgive us before He cried out on the cross

We ask for healing yet while laying down waiting for a stretcher
Yes I know accidents happen, cant walk and feeling helpless
But did we let our faith carry us before crying out to Christ

So easy for us to take the name of God in vain yet hard to praise Him
Don't always realize it when watching horror in the news by the media
But we both know wasn’t praying or praising when saying God was it

How do we expect forgiveness when refusing to forgive our brothers
How do we expect healing when refusing to heal ourselves with faith
When we take God’s name in vain during trouble times instead of praise

Some times to be healed must reopen the wound to be cleaned
Praising the Lord during trouble times leads to the door opening
By His stripes we will be healed but only if we praise and trust Him

So lets praise the Lord during trouble times and good times
Don’t let circumstances take the Lords praise and joy away
After all Jesus didn’t let death and the cross stand in the way
