When you have an evil thought came to your mind, what do you do? I read in many books that teaches us to rebuke the evil thought in Jesus' name! I would say "In Jesus, I rebuke you, or I bind you in Jesus name !"
According to 1 Peter 5:8-9, we resist the devil not by rebuking him but to stay strong in our faith. The Word of God declares that we are made right with God through Jesus' blood, and that we are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21).
When we have established this truth about our identity in Christ and that despite our failures, mistakes and even sins, we are still made in the righteousness of God in Christ.
The devil will continue to remind us of our mistakes, failures and sins. The devil will whisper in our ears about what we have not done right. As long as the truth is established in our heart, the devil cannot enforce anything in our lives. God says in Issiah 54:14 that "In righteousness you will be established:Tyranny will be far from you;you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed;it will not come near you." - New International Version.
I made not be perfect in actions but as long as I establish this truth in my heart, no terror will be near me and my family ! Instead of resisting the devil, stand firm and be strong in the Faith!
