I live in West Yorkshire where we have had flooding. But the worst flooding has been in the South of the County. People are still unable to return home 3 days later. The worst flooding ever, it has been said.
The words most repeated as I listened to the Radio and T.V. news, were...so sudden, so quickly, without warning, it was waist high.
For whatever reason I thought of spiritual revival. In the last 40 years, from the 'free love sixties' Britain has lost 900 years of Christianity. The last 10 years have been a spiritual devastation. Practises condemned in the bible are a part of life today.
I understand that when Mr Blair visited the Pope recently, having widely made known his desire to become a Catholic; the Pope critised his anti-christian behavior and his passing of laws contrary to Gods Law.
Just as this flood came upon us so quickly, without warning etc. and the whole land was engulfed, nothing could withstand. God Almighty can move in a sovereign way. This is needed. Preaching has been going on for 100s of years. We now face multi-faiths, in our communities. Preaching is not enough. We are looking to see His Power.
