Psalm 25:14-The secret of the Lord is with them that fear (revere, glorify, love ) Him; and He will show them His covenant. When you become friends with Jesus, life will become an adventure and take on more meaning than ever before. Not only will you impact the lives of others, you will also enjoy a sense of satisfaction, accomplishment, and contentment that can be found no other way. If you press on, and are sincere about spiritual maturity, eventually you will be empty of yourself and ready to be used by God to fill other empty people. God will not give you more spiritual things if your spirit is not right. You need to get rid of all those negatives; still mouthing off every time your husband/wife says something you don't like, still gossiping, still giving your opinion, bad mood one day, good mood the next day. In order to receive more spiritual knowledge, you have to surrender any negative habit to God. What has He put His finger on lately that you need to surrender? God can help you break habits you've had for a long time. It's your choice! You have to commit to breaking the habit. If you have a habit that's destroying your body, why wouldn't you want to give it to God? You can't make the habit go away, but He can. All born again believers have to give their bad habits to God in order to grow in spiritual maturity. If you decide not to give your bad habits to God, you will continue to operate in them. You will still gossip, you will still be moody, up and down in your emotions, and you will still mouth off at your husband/wife. Whatever your bad habit is, it will not go a way until you give it to God. As God sees your growth in spiritual maturity, you will see more amazing blessings. We all must remember, we can't change ourselves, only God can. How bad do you want God to rid you of a destructive habit? Do you really want to give it up? He knows if you sincerely want to give it up or not. You have to be willing to give it up. When you SINCERELY give the bad habit to God, He will take the desire for the bad habit a way from you. Then one day you'll notice the bad habit is gone! It doesn't have control of you any longer. You have to have faith that He can remove the bad habit. God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6-And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him. God wants us whole. Your body is the temple of God. 1 Corinthians 6:19,20-Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. He wants your temple, where He lives, to be free from anything that is keeping you from living an abundant life.
When you choose to mature spiritually, all the resources of heaven are at your disposal. If you stay connected, you'll be directed. As you mature spiritually, you are better able to to endure naturally. The more you mature spiritually, the closer you are becoming the person God created you to be.
Lord, spiritual maturity is Your desire for every believer. Help us give all our bad habits to You so we can enjoy all the good habits in You. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Dear Sister Jan,
I thought I'd share this article/blog with you. Many times people don't quite get what it means to "Turn it over to God". Might make for another posting
