"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. John 10:27-28
When the Jews asked Jesus if He was the Christ, He spoke plainly to them, also telling them that they were not of His sheepfold. If they were part of His flock, they would have followed Him, rather than questioning Him.
His sheep know His voice--it has a ring of truth to it for the converted heart. It has the ring of truth to it. If any man has spiritual ears to hear, let him hear.
The voices around you might be loud, making demands on your time and calling you to work, volunteer, serve--or even escape to a nearby lake for a weekend fishing excursion. You hear all of them and often respond accordingly.
But do you still hear Jesus' voice when He calls out or whispers to you? Or has it been awhile? If you aren't turned in to His Word, it's time to set aside some time to focus on Him above all else.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, my spiritual ears aren't always in tune with You, I often place a higher value on the voice of others than on Yours. Forgive me, Lord. Draw me close. Speak to me. I want to hear from you.
