Spina Bifida

We just received word today that in my wife's nephew and daughter laws pregnancy, the child has been diagnosed with spina bifida. We pray that the kids will not be drawn into considering the abortion option. We may not know the significance or severity of the effect on the child for some time, but we pray and ask prayer that whether minor or major, this will draw the family closer together and closer to the Lord. That the Lord would give us wisdom in dealing with them and the situation that would assure them of the beauty of the gospel even in the most desolate situations. It is their first child.

He knows every one of His creations by name, nature and being. I pray that your family will be surrounded by a peace only the Most High can provide and that they know in their heart that God see's them through all, just have faith and love. I ask for His hands to be on that baby as it's forming and I hope that the parents read scripture outloud to each other, and to the baby. Most of all, I hope that they turn towards and drawer closer to God in this time.
