Meanwhile, the messenger who went to get Micaiah said to him, "Look, all the prophets are promising victory for the king. Be sure that you agree with them and promise success." But Micaiah replied, "As surely as the LORD lives, I will say only what the LORD tells me to say." 1 Kings 22:13-14 NLT

Micaiah was a prophet who served God faithfully during a time when four hundred “counselors”—actually false prophets who had no regard for the Lord or His word—were telling King Ahab, the wicked ruler of Israel, only what he wanted to hear. Micaiah, on the other hand, was fully committed to speaking only what God told him to say.

What would you do if God had told you what He wanted you to say in a certain situation, but you felt like others wanted you to speak only words that wouldn’t offend? Would you follow the example of Ahab’s prophets, or would you follow Micaiah’s example?

Too often, men of God fail to speak His truth out of fear that it may cost them more than they are willing to pay. But you will never go wrong when you commit yourself to always speak God’s truth.

Prayer: Father, speaking Your truth can sometimes be uncomfortable—even scary. When I’m in a situation where I know what You want me to say, give me the courage to lovingly and gently speak Your truth.

I have been in this situation, and also find myself still in it in a sense. The sharing of what has been brought to my attention, that goes against everything we think we know today about everything Judaism and Christianity.

For the last 8 years, I was part of an online community, trying to speak what I knew. Lots of back lash. So I walked away and found this place to test the waters and see what the temp is. Most Christian websites are very strict about what they will accept as far as doctrine is concerned. I plan on going through all of them when time permits. Which I respect… so I won’t be any trouble, or cause anyone trouble. Though in all transparency I can be a bit controversial and tends to trouble waters. But will be on my best behavior Still a child, so I still act like a child sometimes. But learning to put childish things behind me. And also to soften my edges, as there is much anger within me, behind what has been created in/behind this name of Jesus. It’s painful to bear! But am still growing

When the time is right, I have been given direction to start my own site, that will allow me full freedom to speak what needs to be spoken. Indeed it is scary, to have to face such a large group, when taking into consideration how large this family is, but with that said, I Am not alone!
So I shall speak what was shown me, no matter the consequences. Just as our ancestors (true ancestors) have done. Because it is that important. It is the freedom of the Human race, and truly the Way to immortal Life! A most beautiful Plan

Thank-you for your response. It is appreciated, but I cannot take credit for the writing of this devotional. It is an extract from a book of devotionals, of which they don't identify who the writer is. They are well written, and I have felt moved to share them here.

This guy Ahab makes for a fascinating Bible study. In the previous chapter his wife Jezebel murders their next door neighbour, Naboth in order to inherit his vineyard. Whilst Ahab took no part in the murder, he validated it by taking control of said vineyard. God despatches Elijah to give Ahab a withering prophesy about his and his wife's impending demise and ignominious death. Ahab sees the error of his ways and repents in spectacular fashion, and guess what? God forgives him -
Then the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite: “Have you noticed how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has humbled himself, I will not bring this disaster in his day, but I will bring it on his house in the days of his son.”
This odious king murdered children to offer their bodies as a sacrificial burnt offering to weird and strange gods, and God forgives him. Are there any limits to God's forgiveness?

Ahab wasn't told of God's forgiveness and so he assumed and took it for granted his repentance had worked and done the trick and doubtless with encouragement from his wife, he reverts to type. God has to engineer his death in battle to rid Israel of this despotic crackpot and He's forced to ask for volunteers amongst the angels to deliver a false and deceiving prophecy to God's prophets to encourage Ahab to embark on this ill-fated war. Michaiah was astute enough to recognise the deception and blew the whistle. Maybe the angel concerned wasn't a very good liar. 1Kings 22:19-23

Why did God encourage lies and false prophesy amongst His angels? Why didn't he just zap Ahab with a sudden fatal disease or a lightening strike? Oh isn't the Bible a fascinating insight into the goings on in the Heavenly realms but with so many unanswered questions? Did somebody say that the Bible's boring?

One can't get enough of Scripture brother!
I don't think they'll ever be a time that one can say they know it all, much less find it boring!
There is always a nook or cranny that something will pop up and surprise you. God is so good!
