I sat with a friend today, he talked to me about his soulmate. Ellen. I was a friend of Ellen.
He and Ellen would invite me to parties to celebrate the usual things birthdays, achievements. Always interesting parties. Lots of laughter. At times I would contact Ellen and ask her for advice in helping people who were going through grief. I found a picture of Ellen late last night. My friend and i talked about Ellen
today. His soulmate. Now gone. She died awhile ago leaving him 2 daughters to raise. The daughters are 11 and 13 now. We talked about my soulmate. I married her 3 months after my friend married his soulmate Ellen. 2 Couples, so much in love, so much ahead of us. Today my friend and I talked of the dreams we had, the things we did. As we couples we did well. Each one of us passionate about our faith in Jesus. Enjoying our ministries.
I couldn't thank our Kind Lord enough for my soul mate a wonderful lady.
I had a meal with my friend, we laughed together today. In the past we have cried together. Those days are fading. Each day, a gift from our Lord, another day of healing. I have had 5 and a half years of those healing days. My friend around 2 years. We talk fondly of Ellen and my soulmate.
I shared with my friend today, in a kind of disbelief, I shared about going out on a date, something i haven't wanted to do for a long time. My friend he shared about his date last night. Is this real. My friend and I talking about dating.
Both of us had found our soulmates over 10 years ago. Both of us were content. In love with our soulmates. Our soulmates are gone, they are in the past. Is this real? Can this be real??
It is real. We talk of the disbelief of what has happened. We talk of how my friend at this moment is supporting a christain lady whose husband was killed in an accident leaving her 3 children to raise.

My friend and I finish our meal. Laughter has replaced tears. Hope out of no hope.
Jesus Christ has been there for us. He has not failed us.

I lost my soulmate in a traffic accident just before our daughters fourth birthday.

After I lost my soulmate I was so incredibly lonely I knew I couldn't stay like that for the rest of my life. Nights were the worst when my daughter and I lived alone. We were both terrified of burglars. Although, I tried not to pass my fears on to her, and tried to reassure her she still felt afraid at night. She would also say she saw ghosts at the bedroom window. I told her it was just Daddy's new friends making sure we were alright.

It sounds silly but one day we were so desperate, we taped some pieces of paper together and drew a big man and coloured him in and even gave him brown wool hair! We taped him to the wall at the top of the stairs, so that any burglars that might come in would be scared of him and run away. In those days we quite often slept in the same bed too so that we could feel safe and warm.

I wanted to share one of my favorite passages from the bible 'Father to the fatherless, defender of widows- this is God, whose dwelling is holy. God places the lonely in families;' Psalm 68

My daughter is now twelve, I dated one guy but it didn't work out, then I went out with a divorcee who I later married, (he is a wonderful companion and he is loved dearly). We have a son together who has just turned four. It feels like our family is complete again. I wanted you to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

God is teaching me some lessons here.... and using many to help also! I must say, you put me to shame. Here I am, complaining that I haven't found my soul mate yet, or have anyone in mind. Shame on me! Here, some of you have lost your soul mate. You found them, and now they're gone. Gone. Thanks for helping in the teaching of humbleness : ) I pray that God bless you with many blessings- too many to handle!

good day!

i just wanna asked something, how can i say if he is already my soulmate? i was just curious...
i have friend now, who is my former officemate, we both discovered that we have the same birthday...year, month even date, i tried to asked him the time he was born and he's just a minute ahead to me.
not just because of that, that we became close friend but because we both have the same interest; music, style, fashion, clothing...everything! we called each other soulmates just because of those things that we both have in common. for us the feeling is mutual, just a "pure friendship".
now, can anybody tell me if he really is my soulmate? inspite the fact that he is not a Christian? or will i find someone who is really my soulmate?

thanks!

Hi History, thank you for your good wishes.
What a kind hearted and humble person you are. Always so caring :)
Keep complaining to our Lord that you don't have a soulmate!
No shame on you.
It is normal and healthy to want to be loved and cared for by some one special!
I love the fact the our Lord is a God of love. wow.
But what a painful path at times. A christain sister had to leave her work today, as she found out the guy she likes dosen't like her in a romantic way. She was pretty upset. She has forgiven him for not liking her. She went to his home and spoke to him. She had her heart set on him for 6 months.
My friends certainly share with me the sadness they experience of being alone.
I think it is good to be honest and say "yes it does hurt being alone at times"
I haven't found the bible verse yet that says it is easy to find a soulmate!
We all know that the perfect relationship is with Jesus, however God designed us to be in relationship with others as well, so i see it as being quite normal to be be sad at times when we are alone.

Hey History from what I know of you, you have a wonderfully warm and caring heart and you come across as a very sincere person.
I hope lots of love comes your way soon :)
praise our Lord for christain's that reflect our Lord like you continually do!!!!!!!!

I agree Ishy.

I am humbled by this. (((((((xr)))))))

I sit here alone and in tears. I have never known true love. I was married for nine years and my exhusband had a girl friend the whole time.(I didn't know until the last four months) I was lied to and neglected. He was NEVER my soul mate.

There is one man that my soul loves, but he didn't want me.

To know true love and to lose them to tragedy, is very sad. but the love is eternal.

"soul mate ~ a gift" a very precious gift.
I dream of a soulmate as do so many of the other people who post on Talk Jesus. To find your soulmate, date them, treasuring the moments that you share with them. Enjoying doing special things for them and looking forward to the moment you see them each day. Then one day you give your heart to each other in marriage.

And then you find out that your soul mate, your husband has a girlfriend.
Who can understand the pain and suffering, trauma that your heart has experienced?
As a christain brother I say to you, I am so sorry that such a horrible thing has happened to you. A BIG HUG to you.
In your tears comes healing and your tears are a prayer to our Lord Jesus who listens and cares.
When one part of the body weeps the rest of the body weeps with it........
I draw comfort in the fact that our Lord Jesus is with you and he understands your pain in way that few of us could.
I hope that a soulmate is not to far away for you.
May our Lord continue to bless you in the work you do for him.

It is a credit to your character that you have not given up and that you have stayed in relationship with Jesus.

xr6,
I am not sure of the definition of Soulmate, but I had a wonderful Christian husband. He was the "love of my life" Or at least I thought so. He died in July, as I mentioned in the chatroom.
I think God may have someone else out there for me.
I am saddened to hear that you lost your wife, but it gladdens my hear to see that you appear to be healing, also.
God may have another "soulmate" for you.
Abide in Him and as Proverbs 3 says, "He will direct your paths."

This is a wonderful example of God's love for us. He wants us to be with someone who is as precious to us as a gift of praise or honor is to God.

I am not married, but I know who my soulmate is and I love him very much, and I know that is one gift I am sooooo very thankful and grateful for!

Thanks for sharing this story!

Be blessed
Sis in Christ
