Boanerges Sons of Thunder.
Mark 3:16-18 (King James Version)
<sup id="en-KJV-24305" class="versenum">16</sup>And Simon he surnamed Peter;
<sup id="en-KJV-24306" class="versenum">17</sup>And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:
Knowing God, I know that He never does anything "just because". Rather He calls that which is not as though it were.
God has named someone several times in the bible.
call his name Ishmael
thou shalt call his name Isaac
Call his name Mahershalalhashbaz.
Call his name Jezreel
Call his name Loammi
etc
call his name John
call his name JESUS
In each case God told His reason for calling these people by the names He chose. This being so.. why did Jesus name these two 'Sons of Thunder"? and How did it impact their ministries? :shade:
