The Lord comes to turn the hearts of Fathers towards their children; no man has any greater ministry than to minister to those the Lord has placed in his care.

Luke 1:16 "John will bring many of Israel's descendants back to the Lord their God. He is the one who will go before the Lord with the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous, and to prepare the people to be ready for the Lord."

The above scripture testifies that over two thousand years ago God observed that men and women had turned away from their families to follow after other earthly pursuits, leading them away from the hearth and heart of God.

From the genesis of man, to the final revelation, "what God has joined together" is the hub of all He intended for humanity.(Mark 10:6) If a man makes a true decision to serve the the Lord, the first thing that should be observed, is a change of heart towards those of his own household.

The author could have been inspired by the Holy Spirit to write something other than, "He will turn the hearts of parents to their children", and if the example of many were followed, it would say "He will give men who turn to Him, great influence and wealth" but anything a man may gain in this world that is attained at the neglect of his own family is worthless.

God requires a man be found faithful, and if he be not faithful in this one thing, he need`nt think he will have Gods approval or blessing in his other earthly or heavenly pursuits, no matter how noble or spiritual he thinks them to be.

1Ti 5:8 If anyone has no care for his family and those in his house, he is false to the faith, and is worse than one who has no faith.
