Ezekiel 20:13) But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.
People don’t realize and stumble at this conclusion, that not obeying the commandments of God is rebellion. How can one say that The Lord is my Lord, if they don’t do what he says. The Lord makes commandments and the people listen. Those who choose not to listen are not under his Lordship. What people say and what people do are two very different things. If I say one thing, yet do another thing in action contradicting that which is said, that would make me a hypocrite. Sadly this is a condition that many professing Christians are in, fulfilling the verse Isaiah 29:13) Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: )) By men who undermine, twist, and try to manipulate God’s word and its true meaning, which is why people today misunderstand the fear of the Lord and are absent from it. Sadly many think they can abide in the flesh, yet please God, live in sin and still be partakers in the world to come.
As it is written “the transgressors shall be destroyed together” and shall not go unpunished as many mistakenly think and act like. O God won’t recompense me for my sin because I believe. This is absolutely wrong if they still be living in it, stuck to the bondage of sin and have not escaped it. This is the lukewarm teaching, patronizing them, saying no one is perfect so they go through their life trying to escape from sin, but can’t because they are not committed to seeking God and his truth. Many souls go to hell because of ignorance, slothfulness in salvation, who where patronized and conned into believing they can live in their sin. Either you live in it or escape from it, die in it, or be freed from it. Two Choices, only two, no third nor in-between and don’t con yourself into thinking that there is, “Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.” Can you have part life and part death, No! Either a person is reaching for death in their life or they are reaching for the salvation of God. No person who is a servant of sin has eternal life. Why, because “he who is born of God doth not commit sin”.
