Shame on you

It seems "shame" seems to be a popular subject today.
I wonder if there is confusion about that too?

I've heard Christians say we shouldn't have "guilt" as a blanket statement. But is that true?
Is there a scripture that says we should never feel guilt?

I also think maybe there is confusion about condemnation vs conviction.

Rom 8:1; says there is now no condemnation... "for those in Christ Jesus".
But one of the things the Holy Spirit is supposed to do.. is "convict the world concerning sin" John 16:8;

In fact when a sermon inspired by the Holy Spirit is given there should be some conviction ( 1 Thess 1:5; 1 Cor 14:24; )

I would say if we never feel conviction, maybe it's something to worry about.

The Bible says some people have their conscience's "seared over" as with a branding iron. ( 1 Tim 4:2; )
They no longer feel guilty about anything they do. The Holy Spirit has ceased to convict them.
That seems like a dangerous place to be.

Over 20 times in the new testament, it mentions your "conscience". Would this be the part of you that tells you when you are doing something right or wrong? The part of you that convicts you?

Not to mention the phrase "your shame" is in the new testament over 20 times as well.
Usually in the context that you are doing something wrong.
( i.e. sinning against the brethren - 1 Cor 8:12; )

In Christ there is no guilt shame nor condemnation, that is true but we are yet in this flesh until all of it be removed. so even when the temper tried his shots on Jesus didn't the bible say he left Jesus for a season? as long as you are in this flesh you have to deal with the same always but you have the wisdom of the Lord to do it with.

in the sense that there is no guilt shame nor condemnation in Christ is simple when all else is removed and all that's left is what the fire did not burn is of Christ. and Jesus has no memory of sin, because He never did sin, so that is what you will be left with, no guilt shame nor condemnation. but until the fire or you pass on the human nature continues to be what it is, but again you have the Lord's nature to replace it, and that is a on going process until the last breath.

he who seeks the treasure in Heaven receives, but what is the treasure in Heaven? its the Lord our Savior of course, the more of Him accomplished in you now, the more later.

Even though the Holy Spirit will not condemn us, neither is there any condemnation to those in Christ Jesus, our heart has no problems condemning us when we do wrong.

1John 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
1 John 3:21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

Always live with a clear conscience if we want God to hear any of our prayers.
