Set Your Mind On Things Above

SET YOUR MIND ON THINGS ABOVE, NOT ON THINGS ON THE EARTH.
( COLOSSIANS 3:2 *NKJV )


It is very easy for us to get caught up in this materialistic
World of ours. Before we even know it we start desiring a
fancy new car, or a new home, or some other material
possession that soon dominates our hearts and minds.

Now these things can become the most important things
in our lives, and can not help replacing God as Number One
in our hearts! FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE
YOUR HEART WILL BE ALSO. ( LUKE 12:34 )

After all, THOSE WHO LIVE ACCORDING TO THE FLESH
SET THEIR MINDS ON THE THINGS OF THE FLESH, BUT
THOSE WHO LIVE ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT, THE
THINGS OF THE SPIRIT. FOR TO BE CARNALLY MINDED
IS DEATH, BUT TO BE SPIRITUALLY MINDED IS LIFE AND
PEACE! ( ROMANS 8:5-7 )

So keep your mind focused on Our Savior Jesus Christ so:
THAT CHRIST MAY DWELL IN YOUR HEARTS THROUGH
FAITH. ( EPHESIANS 3:17 ) For after all we are not human
beings having a Spiritual experience, but Spiritual beings
having a human experience!

Now TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO DO
EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL THAT WE ASK
OR THINK, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKS IN
US, TO HIM BE GLORY IN THE CHURCH BY CHRIST JESUS
TO ALL GENERATIONS, FOREVER AND EVER. AMEN.
( EPHESIANS 3:20-21 )

Thank you for sharing this message with us. Yesterday I watched a CD about the universe and how if we stand in the midst of it we would just look like a spot, if even that. It humble me deeply and made me realized that God is so grand that our imagination can't even come close to how great our God is and what He is able to do. How great is our God!

Think upon these things and it will certainly make you realize that there is
no limit in what our God can do and what He wants to do in each individual's life.

Sometimes being to busy, and illness comes are way or other things that take our mind off of what God is able to do and we definitely have to come back and set are affection on things above.

amen brother i knwo what you mean. A friend told me the other day that i have Bid dreams I say well I serve an Infinite God the bigger my dreams are i know he can make them come true cause Nothing and NO ONE is Bigger than HE IS.
