Seeing to See?

There are two kinds of seeing. One kind is by using our physical eyes, but seeing with our eyes can only happen if we have physical light! (electromagnetic radiation) Where there is no light there is no way to make things that exist to become “visible”!

Eph 5:11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.
Eph 5:12 For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret.
Eph 5:13 But WHEN ANYTHING IS EXPOSED BY THE LIGHT, IT BECOMES VISIBLE,

Light makes all things visible in this time based physical world!

The other kind of seeing uses a different kind of light that is not unlike physical light! God is “light” (1 John 1:5)

Seeing with the light of God requires a different kind of eyes, that is also not unlike our physical eyes that uses physical light.

The Apostle Paul prayed continuously that God would enlighten the eyes of hearts of his Church so that they could “see” the hope of his calling!!!

Eph 1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,
Eph 1:18 having THE EYES OF YOUR HEARTS ENLIGHTENED, THAT YOU MAY KNOW WHAT IS THE HOPE TO WHICH HE HAS CALLED YOU, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

Every time God enlightens the “eyes” of our hearts (spirit) you “see” something!!! The word, “know” in verse 18 is the Greek word, “eido” which means, “to see”!! Obviously, when your eyes are enlightened it is for the purpose of seeing! To see what? The hope to which God has called every single child of God to. If someone calls you, it is for you to come to where they have called you too!!! How can you get there if you can not see it? Darkness always brings blindness to where men stumble, and in that, they don't know what they stumbled over because they can not see!

All Christians can see with their physical eyes, but are we seeing with the eyes of our hearts? Which one is more important? The things we see with our physical eyes is only “temporary” and will pass away. The things seen with the spiritual eyes are eternal, and will never pass away!

2Co 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
2Co 4:18 While WE LOOK NOT AT THE THINGS WHICH ARE SEEN, BUT AT THE THINGS WHICH ARE NOT SEEN: for THE THINGS WHICH ARE SEEN ARE TEMPORAL; BUT THE THINGS WHICH ARE NOT SEEN ARE ETERNAL.

The things “not seen” (which we are commanded to look at) does NOT mean you can not see them, it means you can not see them with your physical eyes!!! Jesus told Nicodemus, “unless a man is born again he can not SEE the Kingdom of God” (John 3:3) Jesus was NOT referring to seeing the Kingdom of God someday in the future!!!

The Bible tells us that if we want to love life and “SEE” good days then do not speak evil, and do not use guile in trying to convince people in doing things that will benefit them when it is only for your benefit, not theirs!!! (1 Peter 3:10)

Nobody can “see” good days in this life until you first see good days within God's Kingdom in which all Christians have been translated into!

If we think we are just supposed to sit around and wait to see what God is going to do, we are not going to see much! Seeing good days in the Spirit brings good days to pass on this earth in our lives!

This is why the scripture tells........

2Co 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, WORKETH FOR US A FAR MORE EXCEEDING AND ETERNAL WEIGHT OF GLORY;
2CO 4:18 WHILE WE LOOK NOT AT THE THINGS WHICH ARE SEEN, BUT AT THE THINGS WHICH ARE NOT SEEN: for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Momentary light afflictions on this earthly realm give us the opportunity to see the “exceeding eternal weight of Glory” working for us, but only while we are looking at the unseen eternal kingdom of God!!!

Temporary seen things in this life can be changed by the unseen eternal Kingdom if we only walk by faith by seeing them changed by the power of the Glory of God on our behalf!!!

Seeing causes us to see!
