"And so all Israel shall be saved." — Romans 11:26
Then Moses sang at the Red Sea, it was his joy to know that all Israel were safe. Not a drop of spray fell from that solid wall until the last of God's Israel had safely planted his foot on the other side the flood. That done, immediately the floods dissolved into their proper place again, but not till then. Part of that song was, "Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed." In the last time, when the elect shall sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and of the Lamb, it shall be the boast of Jesus, "Of all whom thou hast given me, I have lost none." In heaven there shall not be a vacant throne.

"For all the chosen race
Shall meet around the throne,
Shall bless the conduct of His grace,
And make His glories known."

As many as God hath chosen, as many as Christ hath redeemed, as many as the Spirit hath called, as many as believe in Jesus, shall safely cross the dividing sea. We are not all safely landed yet:

"Part of the host have crossed the flood,
And part are crossing now."

The vanguard of the army has already reached the shore. We are marching through the depths; we are at this day following hard after our Leader into the heart of the sea. Let us be of good cheer: the rear-guard shall soon be where the vanguard already is; the last of the chosen ones shall soon have crossed the sea, and then shall be heard the song of triumph, when all are secure. But oh! if one were absent-oh! if one of His chosen family should be cast away-it would make an everlasting discord in the song of the redeemed, and cut the strings of the harps of paradise, so that music could never be extorted from them.

Charles Spurgeon

Although they made it through the Red Sea, most of them did not make it to the promised land.

Deut 32:48; The LORD spoke to Moses that very same day, saying,
Deut 32:49; "Go up to this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab opposite Jericho, and look at the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the sons of Israel for a possession.
Deut 32:50; "Then die on the mountain where you ascend, and be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people,
Deut 32:51; because you broke faith with Me in the midst of the sons of Israel at the waters of Meribah-kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin, because you did not treat Me as holy in the midst of the sons of Israel.
Deut 32:52; "For you shall see the land at a distance, but you shall not go there, into the land which I am giving the sons of Israel."

Psa 95:8 Do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, As in the day of Massah in the wilderness,
Psa 95:9 "When your fathers tested Me, They tried Me, though they had seen My work.
Psa 95:10 "For forty years I loathed that generation, And said they are a people who err in their heart, And they do not know My ways.
Psa 95:11 "Therefore I swore in My anger, Truly they shall not enter into My rest."

Heb 3:7 Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says, "TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE,
Heb 3:8 DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME, AS IN THE DAY OF TRIAL IN THE WILDERNESS,
Heb 3:9 WHERE YOUR FATHERS TRIED Me BY TESTING Me, AND SAW MY WORKS FOR FORTY YEARS.
Heb 3:10 "THEREFORE I WAS ANGRY WITH THIS GENERATION, AND SAID, 'THEY ALWAYS GO ASTRAY IN THEIR HEART, AND THEY DID NOT KNOW MY WAYS';
Heb 3:11 AS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, 'THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST.'"
Heb 3:12 Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God.

Heb 4:11; Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience.

Num 20:12; But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Because you have not believed Me, to treat Me as holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them."
Num 20:13; Those were the waters of Meribah, because the sons of Israel contended with the LORD, and He proved Himself holy among them.

Just because God brings some along with protection and blessings, doesn't always mean they make it to the destination.

Although they made it through the Red Sea, most of them did not make it to the promised land.

Agreed, however Spurgeon is making note of a specific moment in time.

Exodus 15:1,19 [1] Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. ... [19] For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry [land] in the midst of the sea.

He transitions in the first paragraph from Moses to Jesus of which he makes reference to "losing none".

John 18:9 That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none.

Just because God brings some along with protection and blessings, doesn't always mean they make it to the destination.

Still Spurgeon makes mention in this devotional that "In heaven there shall not be a vacant throne.". I attribute this to God knowing exactly how many are needed. Not one more or less than is necessary!

Of those that Spurgeon mentions as "We are not all safely landed yet:", I pray that those who are pressing forward toward that goal, having not yet arrived; continue to strive to reach those who are still ignorant of His saving Grace. I'm sure with sadness you would agree that this also includes many who believe themselves "Saved"!

Thank-you for sharing brother.
With Love.
