I told the Lord this you have said to me. He said to reply this to you.
Go get you a bible.
Go through the book of Matthew starting with the 5th chapter.
Pick out one (1) of any of the commandments of Jesus Christ.
Anyone you like.
Then obey it, everyday all day long , day after day.
Then pick another, and do the same, then another...so on and so on.
Here is your chance to actually accomplish what few have ever done
He also just told me to tell you to post here the one you are going to start with.
Hello Stephen Levi.
I started reading through
(Matthew 5) as per your instruction. Then I stumbled upon a verse that
I decided I will memorize and obey everyday. As you advised I have posted the verse and here it is.
Matthew 5
48 Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Everyday I will be perfect as my heavenly Father is perfect. I do hope that I can achieve the Father's
perfection because if I do not achieve this perfection then the following verse will apply to me.
Matthew 5
20 For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you
will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
I have never met a Pharisee, though the apostle Paul was a pharisee and this is what he had to say
about his own righteousness.
Philippians 3
If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more: 5 circumcised the eighth day, of the
nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee; 6 as to zeal,
a persecutor of the church; as to the righteousness which is in the Law, found blameless.
So Paul was blameless as far as the righteousness which is derived from the law. Thus Paul is the only
Pharisee that I know of so my righteousness must exceed Paul's blameless righteousness.
Will get back to you Stephen, probably tomorrow and I will tell you whether I have exceeded Paul's
righteousness in the law.
'unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees, you will not enter the
kingdom of heaven'.
