After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out, "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, Revelation 19:1 ESV
Are you surprised to encounter words of praise in a book of the Bible dedicated to describing the end of time? This wasn’t the first instance of praise. It wouldn’t be the last. But it said something about the God who creates and chooses to re-create. He has established an earth and a new earth, humans and new-life Christians, an old covenant and then a new.
Look at today’s scripture verse and locate three words that point to a strengthening God: salvation, glory, power. God is something you aren’t. Somehow, He sees the shaken and loves them enough to show compassion, offer forgiveness, and instill confidence in those who can see only trouble and don’t realize that trouble has been overcome by Jesus, the very One who was sent with salvation, glory, and power.
This book includes 365 daily writings about God’s unshakable nature, about the shaken nature of mankind, and about the remedy for timidity. Revisit these words anytime, and if you took advantage of the bible reading program, then you encountered full stories of how God deals with the fearful. It involves changed hearts, minds, and spirits.
Prayer: God, never let me forget that I serve You. In Your name are salvation, glory, and power. Your love for me makes those attributes an ally in my struggles. I need the kind of help only You offer.
