This is something I have always wanted to get a better handle on, and it hit me today Praise God ! Why is the Nation of the Jewish people special? because God used them first, they were used to show the world the things of God. Jesus came through the nation blood line. I think my confusion always came from not being able to see the difference of how Gods uses nations for his purpose,,, but it is the individual our hearts that is all important. There is NO nation with special promises that I am aware of. Other then the spiritual nation of Israel,, that we all can be apart of!!
But what I see in mainstream is that the individual is special and has promises made to them from God that others do not. I do not see that any place in the bible. What I do see is promises to the nation of Israel in OT that are all conditional. Every promise of God comes with conditions !! the final most important condition is that we humble ourselfs and realize we are ALL sinners and need a savior, Christ Jesus !!
