Amazing isn't it?
Then Romans 11:33 continues with -
"O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!"

Amen, Thank you Lord Jesus Christ!!!

Romans 5:18 sounds like Romans 11:32
Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people.

There is an operative phrase in these verses in Psalm 136:

1 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
3 O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.
4 To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.
5 To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever.
6 To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever.
7 To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever:
8 The sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for ever:
9 The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever.
10 To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy endureth for ever:
11 And brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy endureth for ever:
12 With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever.
13 To him which divided the Red sea into parts: for his mercy endureth for ever:
14 And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: for his mercy endureth for ever:
15 But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy endureth for ever.
16 To him which led his people through the wilderness: for his mercy endureth for ever.
17 To him which smote great kings: for his mercy endureth for ever:
18 And slew famous kings: for his mercy endureth for ever:
19 Sihon king of the Amorites: for his mercy endureth for ever:
20 And Og the king of Bashan: for his mercy endureth for ever:
21 And gave their land for an heritage: for his mercy endureth for ever:
22 Even an heritage unto Israel his servant: for his mercy endureth for ever.
23 Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever:
24 And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for his mercy endureth for ever.
25 Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever.
26 O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Do you feel your heart starting to melt on who GOD really is?

@complete Let's address Romans 9:16 for a moment:
"IT IS NOT of him that willeth or him that runneth, BUT GOD THAT SHOWS MERCY" -

There is a sentiment within the camp of damnationist's that presumes that Man's Will is greater than God's Will or God's Mercy.
Romans 9:16 clearly debunks that notion. This is how you can now believe Romans 11:32, the header.

Remember, "Love never fails" - I Cor 13:8

' For He saith to Moses,
I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
So then it is not of him that willeth,
nor of him that runneth,
but of God that sheweth mercy.

Hello @Primordial Light,

In Romans 9:16 the reference is to Esau and Jacob, spoken of in verses 10-13, and to the history as recorded in Genesis 27:3-4:-

'So then (election is) not of him who willeth (as Isaac wished to bless Esau according to 'the will of the flesh'), nor of him that runneth (as Esau ran for venison that his father might eat, and bless him), but of God who showeth mercy.'

* So this passage is referring to election, and to God's sovereignty, yes? I do not wish to enter into a debate on free will.
* You refer to Romans 11:32:-

'As concerning the gospel,
they
(Israel) are enemies for your (the Gentiles) sakes:
but as touching the election,
they
(Israel) are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance
.
For as ye (Gentiles) in times past have not believed God,
yet have now obtained mercy through their
(Israel's) unbelief:
Even so have these
(Israel) also now not believed,
that through your
(God given) mercy they (Israel) also may obtain mercy.
For God hath concluded them all
(both Jew and Gentile) in unbelief,
that He might have mercy upon all
(both Jew and Gentile).'
(Romans 11:28-32)

* Israel are beloved for the fathers' sakes, and though only a remnant were saved during Christ's first advent and during the Acts period; in a day to come 'all Israel' will be saved.

* With the departure of Israel into unbelief at the end of the Acts period, salvation was sent to the Gentiles (Acts 28:28), and a Body was created, a joint body, made up of both Jew and Gentile believers, who were, and are. on an equal footing,( Israel no longer having a prior position, having become Loammi, ie., 'not My People'). all having been saved by God's grace alone, and both united in Christ Jesus their risen Lord. This is the church which is His Body, of which He is the Head, the fulness of Him that filleth all in all.

* When Christ returns the times of the Gentiles will have reached it's conclusion, and Israel will take up their divinely appointed role of Priests unto God, having come to repentance, and been restored, and will minister to the Gentiles here on earth. The church which is Christ's Body having been fully called out and raised to appear with Christ in glory ( 1 Colossians 3:4; 2 Timothy 4:8 ) will have taken up their role 'far above all heavens'.

* Christ will reign until all enemies are placed under His feet, and then God will be all in all,. Judgement having been delivered justly by our righteous, almighty God, and Saviour, and God's wrath assuaged. There will be a new heaven and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

* This is not what you wanted, but it is all that I can give.

May God's word be the Arbiter in all matters.
In Christ Jesus

Jacob and Esau were merely given as examples of the will of God being done.
Romans 9:16 is further confirmed by John 1:12-13:

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

You see, "God works ALL THINGS after the counsel of HIS WILL" - Eph 1:11.

Hello @Primordial Light,

Yes, I agree that Jacob and Esau were examples of the will of God being done, As to John 1:12-13.

'He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.
But as many as received Him,
to them gave He power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on His name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.'

(John 1:11-13)

I believe that God does all things after the counsel of His will (Ephesians 1:11). That was never at issue. However what you appear to be denying, 'Primordial Light', is that the power to become the sons of God, is given to those who 'receive Him', and 'believe on His Name.' Am I right in thinking this of you? If not please tell me so.

Thank you

Yes it is those who "receive him" and "believe on his name". AND, it's also true, they cannot do this unless the Lord quickens them to do so - John 5:21 "The son quickeneth WHOM HE WILL", AND "it's every man IN HIS OWN ORDER" - I Cor 15:23.

Thus Rom 9:16 again, "IT IS NOT of him that willeth or runneth, BUT GOD, that showeth mercy".

We are all dumb as a box of rocks without the mercy of God reaching inside our hearts and causing us to call upon him.

Hello @Primordial Light,

With respect to you, I believe you need to consider the books that you are quoting from, and the context within which those verses lie, in order to have a correct understanding as to the scope and application of what is being said.

I certainly shall be doing just that. May God give grace and open our understanding as we wait on Him.

Thank you

So it would appear that these ones God will not condemn for unbelief, but have mercy upon them instead.
