One of the members of my church and connect group shared a prayer request for a friend from another church. Please pray for Rickey

Given the typical timeframe for evaluating injuries like the ones Rickey has sustained, the need for prayer is more evident than ever. While his condition has not deteriorated, Rickey remains unconscious after five days. We were told the first 48-72 hours would be critical and we have come through that timeframe without seeing the significant improvement we have hoped for.
Now is the time to pray. Our Lord hears us. Let us cry out to Him all the more boldly: for mercy, healing, and for strength for Rickey’s family and close friends.

Rickey is continuing to show improvement neurologically. He moved a lot overnight and seems to be progressing in degrees of consciousness. All those in New York are invited to attend an informal prayer time for Rickey being hosted by TGC UWS tonight @ 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul St. Andrew, 263 W 86th St at West End.

We are praising God that Rickey is continuing to show some positive signs today including he has demonstrated movement of all four extremities and his kidney seems to be healing and working well without infection. We thank God for a positive and well-motivated healthcare team and the blessing of friends and family being able to surround Rickey with love and support.
His family and friends onsite have asked that you pray for the following specific items:

While he is still unconscious and the extent of his brain injury remains unknown, Rickey has been moving all four of his limbs today in response to stimuli from his doctors and the voices of family members. We are encouraged by this early sign as he was totally unresponsive 24 hours ago. The doctors believe it is unlikely Rickey’s condition will worsen, but they also expect that progress may be slow. The progress today has been encouraging. Caitlyn and the family are so thankful for all the love, prayers, and support. They ask for your continued prayers for a complete and miraculous healing. Let us pray only with great boldness and faith because we know the character and heart of our Father.

Rickey’s fever is gone and his vitals are good but there is little change in his condition otherwise and he remains unconscious. The doctors believe it may take 24-48 hours to gain more insight into the extent of his injury. Family members and close friends are arriving at the hospital this morning. We ask everyone to continue praying for Rickey, Caitlyn, and the whole family in this very difficult time. We will share more information here as we have it.

Many of you are requesting information on the hospital or information on how you can visit Rickey. Due to limited space at the hospital that is reserved primarily for family, we ask that you support his loved ones at this time by spending time in prayer for Rickey and those who love him dearly. As his condition improves, we will provide any information on visiting hours and/or hospital policies.

Dear Church,
This afternoon while in Nashville, TN, our dear friend and TGC Media Director Rickey Kraemer was in a motorcycle accident. We ask urgently for your prayers as we seek God’s total and complete healing of Rickey.
We thank God Rickey was wearing a full helmet as the latest reports from the hospital indicate that his vital signs are good and his brain is functioning. However he is unconscious and is running a high fever. From the scans doctors have done, Rickey has swelling in key areas that affect consciousness. The doctors have given him medication to decrease swelling and expect that it can take up to 72 hours until it has decrease appropriately.
We pray that God would allow the swelling and fever to subside so we can regain consciousness and receive any additional treatment needed. Additionally we pray for healing of his broken rib, various burns to his body, and any other ailment he is experiencing.
Pastor Josh Staton is near Nashville and currently en route to the hospital to join Rickey’s mother and sister. Rickey’s wife Caitlyn will join him at the hospital tomorrow with Pastor Jon Tyson and family. Please pray for comfort, safety and speed as they travel to be with Rickey.
As we receive more details in the coming days we will continue to keep you updated with official word from the hospital on this web page. Please direct any questions regarding Rickey’s condition to Chanel via email at chanel[at]trinitygracechurch.com.
