It's interesting to note that Jesus didn't call that motly crew of disciples to repent. :shade:
Was He more interested in friendship evangelism, disciple making & ministring to the ''scum of the earth'' at that time.??
What do we expect of those who join with us & fellowship with us.?? :girl_hug: :boy_hug:

John said that everything that Jesus did could not be written down since the world would not hold all the books written. I assume one of those unwritten things was the repentance of his Apostles and his disciples. That's just a thought.

Since Jesus hadn't actually died at the time, He hadn't yet laid His life down for any of us. He did know all about those who he had called though.

John 6:70 Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?”

What Jesus does want with us is a relationship. We are to live our lives as Jesus did and as we do that others will see Jesus in us and be drawn to Him. It's not about going to church on a Sunday and midweek, but about a constant relationship with Jesus.

Repentance is step 2 in salvation so to speak. Step 1 is acknowledging your a sinner in need of a Savior, Jesus Christ. Step 2 would be repenting of your sins and following Jesus. It is required, not optional. If one does not repent, then they are not true believers who seek the Lord Jesus' ways.

1 John 2:3-5
3We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. 4The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5But if anyone obeys his word, God's love[a] is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him:
