REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY, TO KEEP IT HOLY.

REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY, TO KEEP IT HOLY.
( EXODUS 20:8-11 *NKJV )

9 [ Six days you shall labor and do all your work, ]

10 [ but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God.
In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter,
nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle,
nor your stranger who is within your gates.]

11 [ For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth,
the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day.
Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.]

I often receive email asking what day the Sabbath sould be.
So today let us look into that matter and see why we do not
follow the 5th Commandment today.

Now the Solar calendar used in the time of Moses declared
Saturday as the seventh day. So does our calendar today.
So what changed to make our day of worship the first day
of the week, thus Sunday? Well we must go back in time
to about 300 A. D. to find that answer. You see, the Roman Ruler
Constantine, changed the day of worship because
he felt since Christ was resurrected on a Sunday it should be The
Lord's Day, and the best day to worship HIM. Therefore he
ordered all businesses closed on Sunday instead of Saturday.
He also pushed the early Church to follow that order as well.

Now they eventually did, and thus Sunday became the day
of worship instead of Saturday. Though we now worship
on Sunday's, Christians still follow the principle of the
command. For they dedicate time to the Lord by resting, by
praising HIM for HIS blessings, and by remembering HIS
saving acts written in the Bible, and attending Church.

Now before you think to harshly about Constantine or any-
one else, remember he was the one the made Christianity
legal by proclaiming "The Edict of Milan." That Edict
established tolerance for all religions including Christianity.
He further gave large sums of money to help the Christian
faith become what it is today.

Personally I prefer to worship the Lord everyday. I think I am correct in doing this, and whether anyone changed anything or not has nothing to do with keeping the Sabbath.

I look forward to the time when people will start with number one of the 'Ten Commandments' and work through them first.... by the time they got to the Sabbath one, they would have all God's guidance on it because He does not ignore those who earnestly seek Him and love Him in Jesus Christ the Lord.... who, by the way started with number one ..... it is about God's love first, and our love towards Him which is expressed in loving others, by His Spirit, through faith and believing ......
Those who know Him, follow Him.... and days and commandments don't need to be discussed.... it is part of our new nature.... Jesus Himself.

He has written it all in our hearts, so examine them first... and ask the Lord to examine them if we dare.... and we might find much more than Sabbath keeping to worry about in the light of the grace he has bestowed upon us.

One thing is for sure... fighting over it and trying to prove points, is not His way. Study to show yourselves approved, but not to work out ways to out-do others, nor to work out what you need to do to get to heaven..... if you are a Christian.... there's nothing left to do, and if you are not a Christian.... you had better hurry up and believe in Jesus as you know not when your time is up.... I suggest you call to Him, today, while it is still today .... and enter into His rest.

Bless you ....><>

Well as you know that Jesus summed up the greatest commandment which was to love God with all you might, soul and then love your neighbor as yourself and if we were to live by these commands we are living holy and had fulfill the ten commandments.

However the word says that God is a spirit and he who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth. Every day is a sabbath to us as long as we worship Him truthfully. Yes we gather on either Saturday and Sunday to worship as a family in the Lord and nothing is wrong with that. Once we know why we worship it shouldn't matter which day we gather. David says in the Psalms "I was glad when they said unto me let us go into the house of the Lord." And we should feel privelidge to know that we can enter into His court either by bedside or with a congregation.

Our God is mighty and powerful and worthy of our Praise daily. Also the word says that He encamps in our praise.

Be Bless

Every day is a worship day for me,

irrespective of date, time and place, for i worship Him

every minute and time of my life. Worship should be like the air we

take in. No one tells us when to breath, it should be automatic

same applies to worship.

I also believe worship is a life style. Doing it daily.

So, if it's a lifestyle then am not restricted what days i should do it

after all am doing it unto the Lord, not unto men or religion/laws.

This part I happen to agree with (especially the part in bold).
