We Christians too often substitute prayer for playing the game. Prayer is good; but when used as a substitute for obedience, it is nothing but a blatant hypocrisy, a despicable Pharisaism...To your knees, man! and to your Bible! Decide at once! Don't hedge! Prayer and action

Prayer without the willingness to act is hypocrisy.

Actions without prayer is misguided.

Do we pray for God to do it for us? To sort their/our problems from afar? Should we be praying for God to change us in relation to a problem - to fit us to play our part with Him in addressing the need?

I believe that God calls us to act and pray in unison. The too are codependent. We don't try to run without breathing.

Prayer brings us into fellowship with Him. We where intended to be in partnership (all be it by grace only) with Jesus and to work for His Kingdom through prayers and actions wrapped together.

They should be indivisible.
